Event Jitter While Screen is Moving

  1. Hi! I'm having a strange problem with RPG Maker VX ACE, and my friend is having this problem as well. I tried searching for it, but no one else seems to have this issue. 

    While my screen is moving, usually either when I set the player speed to x4 slow or x8 slow or if I decide to use a scroll map command, all of the events on the screen seem to "shake" or jitter. It's

    very strange, and it's definitely noticeable. I honestly have no idea why this is happening. It has nothing to do with any scripts or the like. It seems like a problem with RPG maker itself. 

    Does anyone know how to fix this issue?



     

    As you can see, the jitter is very noticeable. All of the "lines" in the trees are events. I tried this out with my RPG Maker VX, and I didn't get this problem, so its definitely a problem with ACE specifically. 

    Is my maker just bugged?

  2. It might be a lag effect. Copy the map, reduce it's size to half or quarter (with proportionally less events) and try if the effect is the same.


    If it's still the same, it might be a script problem, check which scripts you included


    If the smaller map doesn't have the effect, you can either use an anti-lag script or stay at a reduced number of events per map.
  3. I use no scripts and I can still replicate the problem. That map specifically is very small. I Just have the make the map at least one bigger than the default, because this effect only happens when the map is scrolling, whether it be because my character is moving or using an actual scroll map event command. This issue occurs regardless of how many events are on the map. 
  4. I also experienced this at one point except not as obvious. I have a feeling it's because of RM's fiber function that if an event isn't on the screen it doesn't update or something? It's weird. I also said this to Neonblack myself :s

    This happens when you start a brand new project?


    Have you done a screen resize at all, and how?

    I'm using events for the trees just to show the issue. This isn't my actual project in the screenshot. That happens on a completely new project, which is where I took the screenshot.

    Try making a long map with tons of soldiers and with events decorations and have it pan up. They'll start shaking by 1 pixel and it's really obvious if they're on the edge of the map. Argh I'd give out a demo but DS tilesets. It's not really obvious if your pc is fast. Like this.
  10. I'm also having this problem, and I've tried several optimization and anti-lag scripts which haven't helped. 

    Any ideas?
