Event Issue - Impassible tile is passible?

  1. Hi,

    this is my first forum post and I have a limited understanding of RPG Maker cuz im a super new user. this issue is probably super easily solved and I'm just being a goof but i digress! i've looked at several different resources trying to fix the issue but so far have been unsuccessful.

    the issue: I've made a maze in which I want one pathway to be blocked until the player acquires a key item. For some reason, no matter what tile I use for my event image, the event is passible. Otherwise, everything to do with the event seems to be in order. I've attached screenshots of my event settings. Once the party has the item shimmery scale, I want the tile to disappear. This part seems to work.

    I also tried using conditions > items > shimmery scale on the second page of my event instead of a conditional loop, but that did not work.

    Do I need to change the order of the pages? I don't understand switches and conditional loops very well yet, and some of this is pretty counterintuitive to me (i.e. how the "later" pages in events are given priority. I hate that lol).

  2. If the event's first page is the one you want unpassible, you need to set the priority to 'same as characters'. Tell me if that works! :)

    WORKED thank u!! i knew itd be something ridiculously simple, i'm bad at keeping track of all the little bits and pieces lol. i had to tinker a bit w the second page as well, but it works now. thank you!!!
  4. Yay! Great to know it worked out! Don't worry these small issues happen to me more than I'm willing to admit. :kaoswt2:
