  1. This game no longer exists.
  2. Are you looking for feedback or just advertising?

What sets your game apart from the others? What makes it special?

Also—and this is important—do you have an estimation as to how many hours of gameplay the game contains?

Because honestly dude, this looks like a fairly commonplace RTP game that isn't worth my money.
  3. This forum is for advertising commercial game releases. Feel free to give feedback on the game as a whole if you've played it (or enough of it that you feel comfortable giving feedback). It's not an area where developers would be seeking the kind of feedback you'd give in the screenshots or resource showcase areas.
  4. This is the kind of forum that, hopefully, should see more players than game makers leaving a feedback. ;)

    Interesting questions, though.
  5. It doesn't bother me when people say "It uses the RTP so it's crap" because it is you that loses out on a work of art.
  6. You're not really addressing his questions, but okay. He was just being honest, asking for you to um... Provide what makes your game special. It might get you more sales ;)
  7. Very nice looking screenshots, too :)
  8. Oh yeah, missed that part.

The game features an arena that will have you fighting for hours just trying to reach the champion, and the arena doesn't go to waste as it is worth the most powerful sword in the game (excluding each characters best weapon), interesting sidequests that give you some interesting equipment such as the legendary blade, Loveless. Six (Seven) sidequest spanning the whole game (Mimic's can be gathered at any time (45 mimics total) Easter eggs to gather which link to either the character or something in HuskyHeartMedia's future such as finding the references for Rose on a Farm as well as Pokie. And if anyone knows the history of my games, I once created a game called Loveless... though I say created, what I mean is I cancelled it (it's coming back). The game is left open to two possible endings one that leads to a possible sequel the other leads to no sequel. Also, the Eterna Tower, aka the HHM Staff Room where you can meet the testers, supporters and other stuff, each giving the character perks.

Phase 1.5 for the final boss if you have collected all four of the secret weapons (minus Eterna Sword)
  9. Version 1.4 (1.5 coming in a few days)
Had missed this, what will be the changes?
  10. Bug fixes, few enemy changes. The forest glitch...
  11. I played the demo of this about a week ago. I'm going to try and be as nice as I can, I really do not want to be hurtful so keep that in mind.

I'm curious - have you made RPG Maker games before this one? It was polished in the sense that I didn't run into any bugs and the combat seemed balanced enough, but in terms of the story and dialogue...it was lacking. I've seen worse, but it was very basic and didn't grab me at all. I think the best example of the overall problem is when the Queen was the one who told me not to forget about the items in that crate inside the hero's house. Really? The Queen of the realm keeps track of what's in my peasant house? That probably sounds nitpicky, but it demonstrates the dialogue was basically there just to serve a series of functions.

Now if this were a freeware project just posted on the forums, I'd try to give some helpful feedback and leave it at that. However, paying $10 for the rest of this is not something I see myself doing and I'm not sure many people will after the demo. I understand the lure of trying to make some money off this hobby, but practice is an important thing. In my case, there really was no independent game scene back when I first started on RPG Maker...and that's probably good, cause the stuff I was making back then would not be worth anyone's cash. Even now, I'd be nervous and I've been doing this for 12 years. Obviously it's your choice, but my suggestion would be to postpone the jump to commercial territory and concentrate on improving your story-telling skills. Good luck in the future!
  12. I understand what you mean by the story lacking, but it honestly gets better once you meet Kain. People have said they enjoy the game and everything (minus the bugs that they encountered) but they found the game fun. I already know that my next project will be a lot better.
  13. Most players try the demo before purchasing, so if they do purchase in the end, it means that they like it as it is (and they don't mind the queen being a tad too familiar with her subjects lol)
  14. I have a bit of advice to offer in regards to the trailer. Remember that a trailer is supposed to "trail" the viewer in. Having text like "Interesting Plot" does not make me think the game has an interesting plot. Similarly saying "amusing characters" does not make me think that the characters are amusing (besides one of them wishing there was a map?).

I can't speak for the quality of the game itself, but I'd recommend showing more of the actual situations in the game. Also, I'd advise that you don't use the weird "picture-in-picture" effect; I find it really awkward to try to watch.

Sorry I don't have much to say regarding the game itself, but hopefully my trailer advice may be of some value!
  15. The trailer was a test of Vegas' abilities, if I spent time on it it would have been better.

I don't know if people remembered on previous rpgmaker forums when players gave their feedbacks, it usually turns into a flame war against the developper especially if Rtp are used. The last thread was Harmony for his latest game Skyborn if I remembered correctly, the discussion quickly degenerrated.

In my opinion, we should keep feedbacks on a seperate part of the forum because we really don't want to add any negative remarks on a game's release thread to prevent any potential sales to the developper. I really think we should respect any release thread and leave it only to the developper to add update notes or any other info he/she would add in the futur. What do you all commercial game developpers say about this?

This is not what I meant by "players". I meant people who purchase those games and have a genuine interest in playing (and usually completing) them, not just testing them or trying to provide feedback from a dev's point of view.

As it happens, Skyborn had really great feedback on my forum. ;)
  18. Skyborn had a great review on YouTube. I loved that game... well, I love all RM games I have played so far. Of all I have played, I haven't completed 2... Dawn's Light because I ended up playing a different game and DreamScape because I had to reboot my whole computer and just haven't touched it yet/
  19. I want to play the demo. Where are the download links?
  20. mmm ... they're in the first post, right under the trailer image (the bit that says Download Trial ;) )
