That's the error that makes my maps, actors, scripts enemies and tilesets not present in the editor. It also crashes the system whenever I save or playtest. Is this a problem with my internet? Or perhaps an issue with the server that the admins are working on? Thanks in advance

so, it looks like the steam version. Have you first tried to do an uninstall and reinstall?

The cloud on Steam is very flaky. It's best to disable it, as it will often crash and/or mess up projects. I can't recall how to do it off the top of my head but I think you have to click on the program on steam and select properties and then see if you can find an option to disable cloud synching.
Or you can do what I did...move your projects to another directory, and rename them. Once I did that Steam had no idea where they were and when I opened up those projects, it didn't try to synch them. -
It is a major rule of thumb to never work on the cloud due to the way RM works. Your project is basically dead at this point- I hope you had a non-cloud back-up copy.

@JtheDuelist : Not quite true, as Steam Cloud will hold up the editor while it tries to synch, but if the synch never works it should let you load the old version on your HD once you decouple it from the cloud. At least that is how it worked for me and my project when I had that problem early in development.
Too bad it was over 4 years ago so I don't remember how I disabled the cloud, and I'm not on the computer that has Steam assigned to it so cannot check at the moment. -
well ive just tried that and it didnt workso, it looks like the steam version. Have you first tried to do an uninstall and reinstall?

Just to clarify, I think it justs working with the steam cloud that sucks. I've been working on my project which is stored on my dropbox for more than a year without issue.

The problem with steam cloud is that it was never intended to be used for files the size of projects, it was only intended for saves of games.
You'll need a very stable download for it to finish syncing, and without that it's likely to be blocked forever.
Try to stop everything else to use download and then wait really long for a full sync. It might also help if you can try this where the Internet has a better download (university networks or so) if you can move your computer temporary.
