"Once there were life and light.
This world... so peaceful it was.
Our everlasting princess reigned fair and wise and did not age nor die.

But at this one day, without premonition, without farewell...
    ...she disappeared.

    Thereupon the light was gone.
    And only darkness remained."

    erayu_story_by_psycho_kuscheldecke-da4ozax.png
The story takes part in two different worlds. One of them is the world we all live in.
So does Josh together with his father and his brother Alex. Josh loves videogames and books and isn't much interested in his own reality.
But his father disapproves this and blames his son. This became worse as their mother died.
But then on one day Josh finds a game in a small shop. It has no real cover and only one word is written on the CD-case.
Erayu - the games title. Josh takes the game home and starts playing.

    yuksm.png

The other world is called Erayu. It's the games world, where once an immortal princess reigned. But one day she disappeared and so seems the light.
Some places in that world are fallen into darkness and more followed soon. One, who gets into that darkness never returns; not alive nor dead. As if he never existed.
When the game starts, one plays a boy, who awakes among some travelers.
His memories are gone and so he tries to find his way through a world he can't remember.

    erayu_gameplay_by_psycho_kuscheldecke-da4ozj9.png

    Spoiler
The gameplay is split into two parts.
The first is to simply follow Josh's storyline through his days. Here you won't have any spectacular mechanics.

The second part is the game Josh plays.
In the world of Erayu the gameplay is similar to a Point and Click Adventure.

    Therefore you have:

    Ringmenu
    ringmenue_by_psycho_kuscheldecke-da4p0ak.png
Every object you can interact with will open a small ring-menu.
Here you can choose what you want to do with that object.

    Spoiler
    Collectables
    picsammel_by_psycho_kuscheldecke-d6qm10k.png
There are different items, which are unnecessary for the game itself but will unlock
some artworks in the main menu's gallery.

    Savegames
    unbekannterwald_by_psycho_kuscheldecke-d7bva9l.png
This picture is a savegame (and yes, at some point in development it worked.... but is now probably not compatible anymore... whatever. The ones the game makes are working :p)
The savegames are saved as png.files, which are created ingame. On them you will see:

    - a picture of your current location
    - your collectables
    - your playtime

Sometimes you will get some special pictures. So if anything weird happened
you should consider saving your game. The picture is shown in the savemenu and
is also available in the games folder. (feel free to use it as signature or anything else : D )

  2. Old, long forgotten contest. o_O

    Spoiler
On my homepage I started a little contest.

I don't know if the prices (some steam keys) are working in every country : (

Though if someone likes to participate here are the rules and the link to the blog entry (for those who understand german : ) )

    What is it about?

You have to do 2 things.

    1. Chose your favourite character from the game and draw him/her.

    2. Chose the task you liked most in the game and add one or more items from it to your drawing.

    Period of time

Because time is always rare you have a whole month.

You can send me a contribution until the 27th August 2014.

    Where to send the contribution?

You can send it to me via PN in this forum.

Or send it in an E-Mail to VampyreFoxy@web.de

    Prizes

Each contributor will gain a small signature which you can use for forums homepages or whatever.

    1st winner can choose from:

    - Divinity: Original Sin

    - Divine Divinity

    - Beyond Divinity

    2nd winner can choose from:

    - Dust: An Elysian Tail
    - To the Moon

3rd winner can have one of my (huge) list of unused Humble Bundle keys.

    Additional stuff

    - Contributions which contains pornographic, violence-glorifying or somehow illegal content aren't accepted and the the contributor will be disqualified.

    - The contribution shouldn't be larger than 1500x1500 px. Larger pictures will be scaled down by me.

    - The winner will be chosen by a bublic poll.

    - If there are less than 3 contributions, there will be no prices. Though each will get a signature.

    - The winner contribution will be displayed on my homepage. Together with the winners name and a link to his/her profile, website or wherever he/she likes.

I reserve my right to change the rules if necessary.

    Have fun.

    - Lucy
  3. Can't believe I only see this game now. Those screenshots look amazing! Definitely going to try it out :D
  4. Wow! I wish I could speak German! This looks great! Amazing job~
  5. ^//^ Thank you both. I'm glad you like it.

    @Ruby:
It's a lot of work to translate everything, so it will take a while complete the rest : (
Though the first two chapters are available in english.
  6. the ring menu and save system are amazing! I don't know where to get those scripts...
  7. Oh my goodness! The mapping in this game looks so cute! The image of the camp atop the mountain is gorgeous to look at.

I'll be certain to give this a try! :3
  8. @KrishGM

    Thank you :3

The ring menu is made by me. And almost only with events. : D

What save system exactly do you mean? (the savegame pictures? Or the ingame menu?)

The ingame menus are also made with events. The script for the savegame pictures is from Rataime... but sadly I don't know anymore where I found it : (

    @Bitterbug:

Thanks for the nice comment :3

    I hope you'll like it.
  9. small Update

Nothing big, but I thought I should mention that there is now a walkthrough available for the demo : D
Downloadable here. (Just click on the small Downloads button and you get to the Walkthrough ;D )
  10. Dear Lucy:

GET SOMEONE TO HELP YOU WITH THE TEXT POST HASTE! It's such a waste of potential!

The game looked to have the potential to be at LEAST a solid experience, but it really broke down due to the unintentionally funny use of English. With that part fixed it could have been a nice game, but I could not go through with it as it was.

Aside from the broken English, I have few issues (of what I saw):

-The game's "plot" seems like a very stock and tired thing, but then again it may be too early to say. I enjoyed the visuals quite a bit, but some maps feel TOO cluttered and are hard to navigate as a result.

-The disabling of dashign and the slight delay to menus also make interaction a slow and sometimes annoying business.

If you ever get the text fixed I would be ready to give it a whirl. As it is I think it breaks the game's feel too much, I could not take it seriously at all. More feedback as I come across it in the video.
  11. Yeah, I know about the bad english. I had someone to translate it, but the result is as "good" as my own try *sigh*

It's not that easy if it's not you'r first language. (though I didn't thought it would be that difficult) xD

And untill now I didn't find someone who speaks english as well as german.

I recommend to play with the mouse. Because it's more intuitive : D
Point n Click controlls just with keaboard are a bad thing.

You're right. I'll delete some of the clutter °^°

Thanks for your try. I'll watch the video and see what I can do to make it better. :)
  12. Sooo...... here we go!

All five chapters have been translated. (Not by myself this time xD)

So the demo is finally at the same progress as the German version. \o/

A lot has changed. The keyboard controls are completely gone. They caused too many bugs and problems.

Therefore the game has now full mouse support. (Tested over and over and over again @.@ )

Also the first chapter has changed a bit to be a bit more logical.

And last but not least. The game includes a complete walkthrough now. (Not very well written, but helpfull :s )

So, have fun and leave some feedback :3

    Lucy ❆

    Edit

If you played yet, you sould've encountered an error message while saving.

I fixed that bug, so if you redownload the game again you will be able to save and load again :3

    Sorry for that ._.
  13. Oh, I know this game;) It's really good and I recommend it to everyone, guys. Give it a try.
  14. Corrected translation and progress

    Hey gamers o/

I've uploaded a new version. It includes a corrected translation.

Also I want to tell you that I'm currently working on the end of the game.

The last part will contain a lot of story, some gameplay and two different endigs.

I hope I can finish the game till the end of the year. So stay tuned! :D

    Why two endings?

Because there is no right way to end this story. There are two equal possibilities and you should decide, which one you whish to see.

(But the choice for it is at the end of the game. So you still can reload and watch the second if you whish so :) )

    Have fun o/
  15. I know you are waiting for the full version ;D

I think I can maybe manage to finish the game before January, but then the last
part has to be translated and tested etc.
So the final English release will take some more time.

Most of the last chapter and the first ending is done.
All that is left is the second ending and the credits.

    So... preemptively...
    Have a great new year!
    And stay tuned! :D
  16. Okay, the full version is done! But my time for today is running out. So you'll get the game tomorrow. :D
Meanwhile... here is a little teaser:

    Aaaaaaand finished!

You can download the game now!

Have fun, give a little feedback and report should you find any German leftovers or bugs. (\°u°/)
  17. Update 1.1

A huge thanks goes to shayoko from rmn (I see, here is one too, but don't know if they are the same person xD), who did a great job and corrected the translation. ❤

    Also:

    - There were some impassibility errors, that are now fixed.
    - More German leftovers are fixed
    - A bug, that could result in a gamebreaker at the mill is fixed
    - The sword in the swamp is moved, so you don't have to walk all the way back anymore

    That's everything for now.
    Have a nice day.
    Enjoy the game.
And leave some feedback. The more you give feedback the more I now where the game has it's problems. :3

  18. Update 1.1.1
Another mini-update, which fixes a logic issue with the snowmen puzzle.

It wasn't possible to solve the puzzle without walkthrough, so I fixed it now :3

    Have fun °u°/)
  19. Wow! This looks supercool! :)
  20. Moved to Completed Games. Congratulations  ٩(◕‿◕)۶
