  1. SYNOPSIS

You come from Nayas - a tribe famous for its fierce warriors. You arrived in the Tabehoudai Kingdom to save it from the evil Ganomort. You defeat him. The king is relieved. The princess cheers. You're about to be announced the hero... And then you wake up.

It’s your graduation day. You have no money. No roof over your head and a degree in Management that apparently isn’t even enough to get a job at the farm. Joining the Heroes Guild doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. Will you be able to break the 9 to 5 loop and become a hero? Will you rebel against the reality that seems to be designed against you? Or maybe you’ll find solace in calm repetition...

Entitled might feel like any other retro-jRPG at first, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Sure, you can finish the game by defeating the evil Ganomort and rescuing the Princess. But there’s countless ways to go off the beaten path… and not one of them is obvious.

The world of Entitled is a quirky mix of fantasy and real life. Modern economic themes blend with a medieval fantasy setting. One moment you’re delivering swords for the blacksmith, hoping someday you will own a sword of your own and become a proper hero. Shortly after, you pay taxes and attend lectures on supply and demand on the job market. All that to figure out what to actually do with your mediocre life.

If you want to beat the game, you have to first confront your biggest enemy: the misguided notion that you’re special.

    FEATURES
    • An economy that feels uncomfortably familiar.
    • Whole hidden storylines, areas and dungeons.
    • Hundreds of more or less obscure pop culture references.
    • Two combat systems, even though they don't really matter.
    • A wide range of nods to the 90s gaming. Of course the princess will turn out to be a party member, a love interest and a healer!
    • The most realistic fishing simulation ever seen in games.

    THE TEAM

    DEMO

    Available at https://shoutingmatchgames.itch.io/entitled
  2. That's a great mapping skill right there! And I love the concept of the game. Keep it up!
  3. Thank you. Mapping is a result of joint effort of a bunch of talented artists. I'm happy I managed to get them together for this project.
  4. still working, love to test the game out though =)
    keep it up.
  5. I'd also be interested in being a playtester. You made me laugh when describing a character's fitness level as being a "couch potato".

And now I invoke @Lady_JJ because she might also be interested.
  6. Always happy to join forces with @kimo . I'm in if you'll have me.
  7. Bumping it up. We have reached Alpha. Looking for play testers. DM or reply here if you're interested!

Color me very interested based on your screencaps and the pedigree of your work. I'd love to be a playtester for this.
  9. @RCXGaming Happy to read that. Please DM me for more details (I can't seem to be able to start a conversation with you here).
  10. After a longer silence, I'm bumping the thread again. We've just published out itch.io page and are almost ready to release a public demo there.

The demo will come with a contest - 50 people who beat the demo first will get a full version of the game!

    Follow us here: https://shoutingmatchgames.itch.io/entitled

and on our socials listed on our simple website: https://shoutingmatchgames.com/ - we're about to become quite active there.
  11. Love to beat it though :D as it shouldn't be hard I hope :D
  12. Sounds cool dude! I like games where there is not only "ONE WAY TO WIN"!!!
  13. The screenshots, especially the maps look beautiful. Haha fitness level - couch potato.

This looks well done, I’ll plan on trying out the demo when it comes out.

That's something I can't guarantee... The demo will be time-limited to 15 minutes. To "win" you will have to uncover one of the secrets. The one I will arbitrarily choose, because... well, I can :D

But you can always try again when the timer runs out, so there's that.

Thank you. It took us a few years. And it's still not fully done, but a lot of content is already in. We're basically fully ready for Early Access.

And yes, we specifically wanted to get away from boring numeric levels and stats, but instead make it a bit more organic :)
  15. that becomes a challenge than, I accept it.
  16. This looks awesome! I love the maps, especially that farm. Excited for the demo!
  17. Ohhhh.... So Fantasy Life with pixel art.
