Ahoy!
I'm wondering if there's a way to have certain editor tools, such as going to mapping, event mode, rectangle mode, brush mode, shadow pencil mode, etc. with keyboard shortcuts.
Doesn't seem to say anything about it in the manual, and pressing random buttons (P, B etc) doesn't seem to do anything. But maybe someone came up with an external way to do such things?
It's only a convenience thing, really, but it would certainly be nice if such a thing was possible. Makes mapping somewhat faster.

The manual doesn't say anything, because the shortcuts are listed in the menu (as they are always with programs.
For example, if you open the mode-menu in the editor, you can see the shortcuts for the modes (map, event, region) listed there, and the same with all other menus.
There aren't shortcuts for everything, but those that exist are listed there. -
Ctrl + T Opens the Map shifting (i didn't even know this existed myself)
Ctrl + D open Dungeon Auto-generating
Ctrl + N Creates a New project
f1 Brings up the RPG Maker Manual
f5 is mapping layer
f6 is event layer
f7 is region layer
f9 is database
f19 is the resource manager
f12 Starts a Play Test
IN Play test only
f9 Opens up the Switch control menu so you can manipulate your game and jump to different points in it
holding ctrl allows you to walk anywhere, event over impassible tiles and disables random encouners while its held -
Well, whaddaya know. It really IS there! Thanks a lot!
Too bad there are no shortcuts for the drawing tools, but I guess you can't have everything.
Yaay!
