Editor crashes when saving

Today I started working on a new project. Everything is going smoothly. But there's one problem. Every time I save the project, the editor crashes. The project still saves but I always have to force quit the editor and launch it again. It's so annoying and it wasn't even an issue for the last project I was working on.

Are you using the steam Version?
Then most likely that project is set to be saves to steam cloud.
That is usually a bad idea because a project is too large to do that without really good Internet, resulting in extra long saving times while it is being uploaded...
