My first game! Currently I'm making the story as I go, and it is still in early development. But I do have a general view of the story. Feedbacks are totally welcome!

    (It's brief, not done yet)

Ken, a somewhat clumsy boy, and Sophia, a hot-headed girl, has been living in Pinewood for as long as they know. But one day, a strange earthquake struck Pinewood. Questions arose the town, but they have nowhere to go now.

And while Ken and Sophia are searching for help, many bigger earthquakes has struck many places at the same time.

They conclude that the earthquakes aren't caused by nature, but by someone.

Who is the culprit behind the earthquakes?

Will Ken and the others solve the mysteries behind the earthquakes?

Join Ken and his friends in their search for the truth, and possibly the culprit's reasons!

The Legend of Heroes - Trails in The Sky battle system (Saba Kan's Ao no Kiseki script)

    Unique equipments

Lots of skills; each character has it's own unique skill

Lots of scripts. Some of them aren't used, but is still on the game (commented out)

Fantasy and modern setting, all in one.

Ken Miller. "A high-spirited boy who lives in Pinewood. A bit clumsy, but longs to become a adventurer."

Sophia Miller. "A girl who lives in Pinewood and Ken's sister. A really cheerful gal, but has a stubborn streak."

Leina Streisand. "An apprentice from Brightwall academy. Self-apologetic, but his bravery stood still."

So, this is my first game, so expect some flaws. The database is about 75% filled, but I intent to finish it.

I'm looking for an artist/spriter that can make sprite and busts with different emotions.

The sprites and busts are based on pictures below:

    1) Charsets

I'd like some spritesheets based on these: http://anony.ws/i/2014/10/25/t02.png and

    http://anony.ws/i/2014/10/29/t03.png

    2) Facesets

I'd also like some busts with 4 or 5 emotion based on the pictures above.

For the trade, I can tidy/clean up your database, or do eventing/scening on your game. Either is fine, but I prefer the latter.

You will be credited for the artwork, of course.

If there's any questions, go ahead and ask.
  2. Bump.
  3. 1) Nothing comes for free

    2) "I want pictures of earthquakes", how does that even... I mean... Do you really? Sigh...
  4. While nothing comes for free, the payment doesn't have to be in cash...

    @OP:

You need to give an artist a reason why he/she should work for your things instead of one of the hundreds of other requests.

The easiest reason is of course cash, but there are a lot of other ways.

For example, if you have a good story in your game, some artist might be interested to help get that story done - but you gave no specifics on your game or storyline, so that is unlikely to attract people.

Another option is for singular pieces only - there is the resource request forum, but anyone needing more than one or two things is automatically redirected to project recruitment here. That is because working on a single piece is easier than committing to a project with dozens of resources like you're requesting. So you might think on "how can I reduce the need for more pictures", until the request is small enough for an artist to consider (A single bust with several emotions is easily 20 hours of work, and you're asking for several).

Your second link has a mistyped 2 ) at the end and is redirected to the wrong picture. You should correct that, because I don't think you want a potted plant as a character...

(Manually correcting the link goes to a second lizard character, but you can't expect an artist to hunt for info if he/she should do the work for free)

    1) So what do you want if you actually join?

    2) Edited first post.

    Sorry if there's any misinformation.

To anyone who's willing to join, ask me anything and I'll clarify it.

For the game, the story is not finished yet. But the game's overview can be found here: http://keytotruth12.wordpress.com/earthquakes-the-first-signal/

And sorry for the mistyped link too. Edited first post.

I didn't even make the connection with money in my head while typing that :)
  7. As an artist I know I wouldn't be interested in spending hours of making artwork for a 14 year old with his first RPG Maker game that has no playable demo, no screenshots and no detailed information whatsoever. Unless your request is really small (as in, can be completed within an hour or 2) you'll most likely not find anyone be willing to make that stuff for you if you can't prove to people that you're seriously dedicated to your project, that you know what you're doing and that you know exactly what you want with your game. Way too many people quit on their first project resulting in all the time the artist spent on artwork to go to waste.
