Synopsis
The Story: The world of Perth is shrouded in darkness. Evil magic poisons the land in the form of bloodthirsty monsters. Demons walk the land in some places, sometimes seeking to bargain with mortals, sometimes to just take souls by force. Evil dragons demand sacrifices of beautiful maidens to satisfy their hunger or lust. The dead rise from their graves to consume the living, sometimes adding to their foul numbers in the process. All manner of criminal highwaymen raid travelers with impunity. The people cry out for salvation, but have only an ancient prophecy to console them: the prophecy of the Victory Guard. It states that at the time of the end, a hero will arise from an unknown place and drive out the darkness. A hero that will crown the Golden King.
You must fulfill the Victory Guard prophecy and save the world of Perth from darkness.

Battle System
While the layout will be familiar to those who've played games created with RPG Maker, Yanfly's engines have been employed to speed up and enhance combat. The layout feels intuitive and combat plays out in a fast and engaging manner, belying the turn-based nature of play. The battlefield matches wherever you happen to be in the labyrinthine world.
Camp
If you're low on resources and don't have ready access to an inn, you'll need to make camp. Be careful to monitor your supplies though, as the party has limited rations. Each time you make camp, a day's rations are expended in the process of recovering your characters. Keep in mind resting won't help with conditions, it can only restore hit points and magic points. If some of your party members are sick or dead, you need to visit a temple to be healed.
First Person Perspective
The world is a labyrinth and employs nonlinear play, much like an adventure game. Perth is a big place, and further, portals exist to a few other planes of existence to keep adventurers busy. You need to explore the world in order to figure out the solution, and also to be careful as it can be easy to get lost. The Labyrinth Explorer script used is the one by MGC. The tilesets used are from Pioneer Valley Games' resource packs with some RTP add-ons.
Five Kingdoms, Five Solutions
In the region of Perth where the game takes place, five kingdoms exist, each of which has a political ruler with a stake in becoming the immortal Golden King. The Empire of Thule, the Kingdom of Mizraim, the Republic of Llyanni, the Kingdom of Gabaraz, and the Shakil Tribes all provide a possible solution to the game with a unique ending. Players choose who prevails, and in doing so, decide the fate of the world. Not all of the would-be kings are humans, and certainly not all have the well-being of the world in mind. Depending upon your choice, you may end up fighting against the Golden King in the end.
Mythic Bestiary
A large bestiary of classical monsters are in the game, including monsters from Greek mythology, fairy tales, modern fantasy, and Lovecraftian fiction. Some examples include dragons, demons, gorgons, vampires, byakhees, goblins, ogres, orcs, gazers, cyclops, and many more. They are represented with realistic renderings provided from Pioneer Valley Games' Monsters Legacy, Mythos Horror, and Medieval resource packs.
