The known world consists of two continents one much larger than the other. The smaller of the two
is ruled primarily by King Trillet of Destonia, and the other by the Acerian Council. The Destonians
are at war with the Dylorians, the remnants of a rebel group that long ago broke off from the Great
Empire. The Destonians are winning this war, but their progress has been slow. The Acerian
Council is not currently fighting another faction, but they are dealing with internal turmoil over
their agreements with the Miotan. Pirates plague the sea between these two continents and all the
world’s large cities are overrun with crime.

You are a young Gren named Evan Dellton. You live with your mother and little Sister in a village
named for your family. All you want in life is to care for your family and your village, but fate has
other plans. You've heard rumors of experiments taking place in Destonia and of Dylorias imminent
downfall. With the fourth annual Dellton Independence Festival fast approaching you can't help but
wonder how long before your people are once again plunged into battle.

Human
Living alongside the Gren, Humans always wanted more than their limited power would allow. After
human explorers discovered the power of Serrin, they wanted it for themselves. Once they
discovered Serrin Stones they attacked the Gren and claimed the Plaines for themselves. It was
during this war that the Dylorians rose up against the Great Empire and joined with the Gren. After
they had control of the plains Humanity went after the Miotan in the forest. This time Humanity went
against a much more powerful foe, but after many long years the humans were victorious driving
the Miotan Tribes deep into the woods where no Human dared to follow. It was not long after this
that Humanity turned their focus on destroying the Drylore. Now long since Humanity gained
dominance over the world they have divided into many small factions, constantly at war with
eachother.
Miotan
Not much is known about the Miotan due to their reclusive nature, with the exception of the Tribe
now living in Edmond. This Tribe is directly descended from the Miotan who used to live alongside
the Drylore in Coldrad. The Miotan Tribes are a proud race of nomads. Driven deep into the forest
by the Great Empire long ago the Miotan now live cut off from the rest of the world and most live
their entire lives in the woods.
Gren
The Gren used to live alongside the Humans on the vast plains that cover most of the world. As
soon as the humans discovered Serrin Stones they waged war on the Gren driving them to
extinction. A few Gren escaped the Humans and moved to Coldrad to live among the Drylore as
refugees. Here the Drylore taught the Gren how to use Serrin with the help of the same stones the
humans had used on them. The few remaining Gren fought alongside the Drylore in the defending
Coldrad, when the city fell the Gren traveled across the sea and founded the village of Dellton.
Drylore
The Drylore lived isolated high in the mountains. There they became the first race to control Serrin
and the only to do so without the help of a stone. They were pushed to the brink of extinction by
the Great Empire who wanted the power of Serrin all to themselves. A few Drylore survived the
slaughter and went into hiding.
