  1. Greetings good folks at RPGMakerWeb ;)

I would like to give you a first preview of our RPG/Adventure game "Drifters of Fate" that is being developed by our team Loremaker.

EDIT: New title screen with one changed main character. This is the small resolution option. The default is 1024x768, but it is much easier to use smaller sizes for screenshots.

It is an open world RPG, which means you will have great freedom to choose where to go next, and many side features such as cooking, farming, hunting, crafting, smithing, brewing are included. One of the main points is the ever-changing world that is very much influenced by the player, who also will build and continuously upgrade his or her home with trophies, new rooms, servants, pets, furniture (including that for crafting) and much more.

Right now, there is a steam project group where you can find both short videos and tech demos for download. We are actually right now preparing the first really playable demo with the final mob and class system in place. The tech demos however do already have a good amount of lore and might whet your appetite as well:

Story-wise, you begin as a shade and choose a body in which to perform whatever task it is you need to complete. There is the obligatory figure under the black hood, lots of riddles, a world in turmoil and a hero who might not even be one. What else do you need?

We are still looking for new members to join - especially quest designers with good lore skills as well as artists to customize tilesets even more. If you are interested, please let me know here in the thread or on the steam group which is public so you can easily join.

There are very many people and groups already who deserve credit for what we are building here. First of all, as you can see in the screenshot, we owe thanks to the guys who made the High Fantasy DLCs. There are tons of others like Yanfly, Jet, Faalco who deserve a thanks. We will have an extensive credits section when the project is further along.

If you want to find more materials and videos about the game, feel free to google our tag #DoFGame and you will see a growing amount of links!

Please let me know what you think and check out what we have prepared for you :)
  2. I like the idea of this! However, are you allowed to include the project file like your propose for easy modding? I thought one of the terms of use of the DLC's is the project file has to be encrypted.

Anyways, let me know when the demo comes out!
  3. Here is a sample TOS just to show you there is no mention of such a limitation :)

  4. After a little brainstorming session we changed one of the main characters which is now reflected in the updated screenshot of the main menu. The first two (on the left) are implemented, the ones on the right will be after we get some gameplay under this game's feet. Also, we will now be using the small resolution (default is 1024x768 which represents a scale-up of x2) for easier screenshots that dont mess with ppls view of the forum too much.
