  1. One thing to keep in mind too is as the dev you know everything there is about your game. It *should* be really easy to you. Like almost cakewalk easy.

    In fact we have this common saying about how it feels to you and how it will feel to most players:
    Dev: This is really easy. Player: Just right
    Dev: This feels just right. Player: This game is really hard
    Dev: This battle is hard. Player: This battle is $@@!%!% impossible.
    Dev: This battle is very hard. Player: *rage quits*

    On the rest of the subjects, you don't have to make the player start at level 1. Starting at a higher level might fix some of the issues even.

    Trust me, I can beat this normally 45-60~ minute demo in like, 10 minutes.

    And for the level thing, that's why I'm liking the idea of making the first fight more scripted, which would also make it drag on less. And I could also always guarantee a level up, no matter how you did in the fight.
