Do I need both Resource Packs?

  1. If I want to buy the DS+ Resource Pack, is there the DS Resource Pack included or do I need to buy both?

I'm interrested in these tiles for long, but not sure, if these two are different ones.
Or the DS+ are only extended to the old one.
    That's the question in basic. :) (\s/)
  2. They are two separate packs. One thing I do like about them is they both come with 20 BGM pieces as well. However, be warned that the DS+ pack Bust generator requires you to have your own pieces for the generator (something I feel the steam version failed to make clear myself).
  3. I think steam is the worst help ever. When I downloaded the first pack from steam, I searched so long, where it's saved. :D
I readed allready some comments, that say they aren't implemented at all. May they didn't found them. ;)
But wouldn't be the first time, that some parts are missing in the steam version. :/ (\s/)

Thank you for the quick and clear answer. :D /)
  4. Steam saves it in a weird spot, true. Though the nice thing is if your copy of the game was also bought on steam, just go to tools->resource manager->DLC and it will take you to the directory all the DLC is saved in.

The disadvantage to that method? You will still have to figure out where that directory is before release so you can get the credits correct (as they are in the readme file in those directories).

I allmost forgotten these to mention in my credits file. o_O

Glad you sad it. Thought these were all from Enterbrain. *blushes* (\s/)
  6. The DS resource pack caters more to the Fantasy genre, while the DS+ resource pack caters to various genres like Feudal, Modern and Futuristic.

In the end, they actually strive to complete each other.
  7. The DS and DS+ resource packs are indeed different. Sometimes they don't mesh together, while other times they do. As Susan said, DS is tailored more for fantasy where as DS+ is Sci-fi, modern and sengoku, an ancient period in Japan. The music in both packs are remastered versions of all the BGMs in the actual DS game. I highly recommend getting both. They are worth the money.
