    STORY

Before the lifeforms emerged, before the Faith One shaped the Mortal World,
there was the First Light, embodied in the Goddess of Beauty and the Sun, Lucille.

Alongside the King of Beasts and the Moon, Meravi, Lucille sought to seize
the throne of the Divine World. Failing to claim it, she descended, transforming
the frozen underworld into a realm of eternal flame...

Together, Lucille and Meravi ruled the Demon World, their bond unshakable.

But now, Lucille's light fades, and with her last breath, she entrusts Meravi
with her final wish... "Storm the heavens once more. Unmask the true face of
The Unrepentant One, who reigns through the greatest lie ever told."

Thus begins the final battle to tear down the heavens and uncover the truth
    hidden for eons...

  3. Puttin' these in spoilers from now on.

    Spoiler
I tried Demonio 1, as it said it was the easiest.
I considered doing 3, as it was most recent, and generally I like to recieve feedback on more recent stuff, but it said the difficulty was hard, so I went with 1.

Right off the bat, I feel that the game could use some music for the title screen.
I would also suggest avoiding using scrolling text for your intro. At the very least, putting some pretty pictures or music while you show the text.

There were a lot of little spelling errors, such as using "bless" when "blessing" would have been more appropriate. Also, things like "The Faith One" just sounds a bit off.
If your first language isn't english, having an english proofreader might be a good idea.

You could save some time by just using the "open save screen" command for the save orbs. It feels unessessary to open the menu instead.

The on map battles were cool! It made the experiance feel more smooth.
The ATB is a bit slow, which is my usual complaint for those battle systems, so maybe consider increasing the speed in the future?

It was a bit weird to have a choice at the beggining that can just kill you. It would be more interesting if you could actually beat them there.

The gameplay itself was pretty hard. I was able to beat the robot the first time, but I couldn't get any farther than that.
You might want to add some spaces that heal you, or at least a "heal on level up" plugin or something. Especially since item drops are semi random.

I tried a few more times, but I didn't feel like I was dying due to a lack of skill. There aren't a terrible lot of skills to choose from, so I wasn't really sure what I was doing wrong.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Honestly, I didn't think about some of the stuff you mentioned, and it’s super helpful. it gave me a fresh perspective.

Here's what I’m taking away from your points:

    • ATB Speed: I figured slower meant easier (yeah, bad call on my part, haha). You're totally right, and I'll tweak it ASAP. I'll also adjust the enemies to make things more balanced.
    • Save Orb Stuff: Turns out you can heal at the save orbs and even make more by buying an item from the shop. but I clearly didn't explain that well enough! I'll update the tutorial to make it clearer. And your suggestion to let players open the save screen directly? Great. It fits perfectly with the game's "keep it simple" concept.
    • Heal Level-Up Plugins: I'll be looking into this to see how it can improve the experience further.
I'll work on these fixes and aim to release an updated demo this week.

Seriously, thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts. I really appreciate it!
  5. You're welcome! :LZSlol:

    More responses to your advice:
    • I've got a couple of English proofreaders who've been a huge help with Demonio 3 since it's already in its final release (Full Version). Once I'm done with the whole game, I'll definitely ask them to help out with Demonio 1 and 2 as well!
    • About the scrolling text in Demonio 1, it actually turns into a running joke in Demonio 2! The main character even makes fun of it and skips the whole thing. xD
    • Oh, and I've changed the name from The Faith One to The Unrepentant One. Hopefully, it sounds better now!
Looking forward to hearing more feedback from you!
  7. Neat. I might give Demonio 3 a go since it's the most recent.

Since this site is going down, I'm leaving this comment as a bookmark for myself and
all players who want to play the Demonio series. Just a heads-up that DEMONIO 1, 2, and 3
have been repacked into DEMONIO - COMPLETE EDITION.
