Hi! I don't have the things I need to make a good looking black and white tileset of the regular RMVX Ace tiles, so I'm wondering if anyone could do that, thank you so much in advance.
Basically my game sets in a still/frozen world without color, so I'm looking for just plain silent and creepy. Thank you so much in advance!
*EDIT* Also if possible are there any modern city tilesets that could do the trick too? Sorry if I'm asking so much.
Default tileset but in black and white/greyscale?

Well, you could always use the tint screen command to make it black and white. Just adjust the grey setting. I'm sure you thought of that though, and I'll admit stuff doesn't always look great when you use tint screen.

Thanks for the suggestion, though yes I did try that, it did not look as great as I thought it would.

Black and white like desaturated - IOW take out the color and use the tiles like that?

If you have a program like GIMP or Photoshop you can use it to make a grayscale version of the tilesets. Using tint screen will turn the entire screen, including the player characters, black and white. I take it that you don't want that, and only want the tilesets black and white. I'm currently making some myself, though I have a lot of tiles to go through, and I haven't started on the RTP ones yet.

@GrandmaDeb yes, as in just take out all the color, nothing more.
@Super Galaxy Convoy I did think of that but I don't have the proper programs to make the titles on grayscale, though I am getting photoshop elements with my new scanner so maybe ill just use that once I get the chance. Oh, did you mention you were making greyscale titles, I would love to see them once they are finished! -
All it is is just color edits, nothing really special though.

Paint.NET and GIMP are both free and should do what you want.

Oh, thanks Shaz! That'll be useful!
Ah, but I'd still like to see it's finished product! -
I'm finished with all the edits to the default RTP tilesets.

Follow the links and you will find the edits I've made.
Like I've said, they're all just color edits and very simple to do once you have GIMP or other image manipulation software.
