I've been thinking about using RPG Maker since I found out about it and now since theres a sale im thinking of buying it seeing theres a sale on steam.
My question is where should I start and is the Game Character Hub A good program.

I personally think the best way to start is by opening the program and fiddling with it for a while, then coming here and reading tutorials, then making a small, non-serious game to test it all out.
As for Game Character Hub, it's a convenient way to put together sprites, especially if you're wanting to add things to a sprite that don't come with the built in generator for Ace or if you want to make your own template. It was worth while for me. -
If you don't mind Steam I'd say it's a no brainer to pick the Character Hub up with Ace (and XP) for $12 in the Humble Bundle.
A lot of that stuff works outside of Steam anyway (Character Hub included), so it's really hard to pass up.
Even if you end up not using it you've got a ton of other stuff in there you will. -
Thanks for the suggestion you guys will do when I get my homework under control. I bought the humble bundle for now it's amazing the content for 12$.
