  1. I've been thinking about using RPG Maker since I found out about it and now since theres a sale im thinking of buying it seeing theres a sale on steam.

My question is where should I start and is the Game Character Hub A good program.
  2. I personally think the best way to start is by opening the program and fiddling with it for a while, then coming here and reading tutorials, then making a small, non-serious game to test it all out.

As for Game Character Hub, it's a convenient way to put together sprites, especially if you're wanting to add things to a sprite that don't come with the built in generator for Ace or if you want to make your own template. It was worth while for me.
  3. If you don't mind Steam I'd say it's a no brainer to pick the Character Hub up with Ace (and XP) for $12 in the Humble Bundle.

A lot of that stuff works outside of Steam anyway (Character Hub included), so it's really hard to pass up.

Even if you end up not using it you've got a ton of other stuff in there you will.
  4. Thanks for the suggestion you guys will do when I get my homework under control. I bought the humble bundle for now it's amazing the content for 12$.
