  1. Deathspark's Let's Plays (Closed)

It was a hard decision, and I was slightly reluctant to do it. It's happened many times, but this time, it's for real. I'll close this article down soon and there'll be no more Let's Plays now. As stated from my previous post, I had my reasons to quit, not because I wanted to quit. I really enjoyed playing random games here and there even when I commented on how bad certain games were, but I seriously tried my best for creators to notice the mistakes they had made. I also notice I've not been active a lot lately around here, it's due to the fact that I'm constantly way too busy with too many things to the point whereby I'm just overloaded. So that's pretty much all I have to say.

tl:dr, this is goodbye. Not from the forums, but to the Let's Plays...

Oh uh, I nuked the whole post because I felt that it's not needed anymore since there are no more Let's Plays. Feel free to contact me however if you have any questions.

There is one thing I can do for people who still want me to review your game. I am able to play it and give you a full review but no videos. You'll have to PM me however.
  2. Try my demo! It's a large file right now, but gameplay wise it's about 50 minutes.
  3. Hey! You're back! I was wondering what happened to you~ <3

You're back too! Thought you're not around anymore too! D=

    I wasn't dead, I had exams.

After the exams, I planned to come back!

    So... Update? XDXD

    >=3 I'm ready for some more!
  5. UPDATE: Shadow of Odessia Part 1 <-- Enjoying the Game so far

                    The First Rebellion Part 1 <-- So hardcore... No place to heal? ;_;

As usual, if you have any questions, please ask!

Since I have 'Long-time-no-use-Camtasia-Studio-8-itis', it took me longer to edit my videos, now I'm back on track again.

Don't worry, videos in the future won't be too clumsy like these again.
  6. Edit: Try to play it again, sir. This time, be sure to use Engineering, First-Aid and Alchemy from the Discipline menu- I've made sure drops are plentiful and you can make potions that restore 300hp instead of 25%. I feel if you try it keeping this in mind, you should be able to survive the demo.

Also! Isadore sells items each time you talk to him as long as the option is available.

    Please reconsider!

    Hurm, I shall try that!

    First aid too? Ouhkay!

    And Alchemy, done.

    'Please reconsider!'

Hey! Hey! I'm not quitting the game or anything! XD

I'm simply saying the game can be difficult.

My rule: For each game, try to be as clueless as possible about it. It will be much more fun this way. Now when you tell me what to do, the second run would be much easier, so I'd thank you for that tip, but I would continue from the point I had stopped.

But no inns, that can't heal, really?

Something new to me, but I'm cool, each game has it's uniqueness and flaws or strengths.

At least I can see effort put into it, and that is enough to be happy about it. :)
  8. Waking up to Deathspark updating his videos. Made my day. <3

During the Shadows of Odessia playthrough, your mouse got in the way of the text boxes sometimes and made it hard to understand what was going on.

9:10 of the First Rebellion: Someone decided it would be a good idea to get plastic surgery and completely change his faceset. :D

I too agree the game looks too damn difficult. Enemies that can Sleep you AND lower AGI? That's a bit much for a beginning portion of a game. You do have a very extensive and complicated crafting system, though; maybe it would be better to simplify it, starting off with the basics, like Draught or something like that? Then, collect certain books along the way so that players can learn Crafting at their own rate. At the moment, you're overwhelming people with a variety of options; it's best to use simplicity in it's purest form. And too many damn lights and not enough CSCA Light Effects. :\
  9. The idea was that there is no inn worker, and I wanted the player to have the feeling of helplessness- that they have to use all the items they have to stay alive. This is just the prologue, and be sure there will be towns and inns later on.
  10. The completed game in my signature! Please DO "let's play" and enjoy.

    (titled "Chef Excellent Master Time")

The "demo" for the other game in my sig is not a real demo, just showing off a couple things I was working on.

As such, please feel free to ignore that game (titled "Bliss").

The Angry Swaf monsters have an attack that lowers AGI by one step and has a 15% chance of hitting a Sleep status- I meant for the percentage to be very small in comparison. It's unlucky for Deathspark to get spammed, but my enemies are coded to use a variety of attacks, and not just Discharge over and over, for instance.

As for the Draught, it's available right at the beginning of the game, but I suppose I should at least give some to the player as soon as the game begins.

As for the lights, I'm running on a mid-end laptop and it works just fine- I'm not using lighting to create light, but to set atmosphere. I do understand that there are a lot of torches, but they are there for a reason. As for the skills, you'll see that many of the things you can create from the books are unavailable, and won't be until later on in the story. I give them to you to give you a taste of what you can accomplish.

Furthermore, if the player uses the steal-type commands on Dahl and Rosaline, they'll see that healing items can be stolen at a very high rate.

It's a steep learning curve, but I didn't want my game to be easy.
  12. UPDATE: The First Rebellion Part 2 <-- For the sake of saving space on this post, please open the Games I am currently giving a go! section :)

That's all for now, next on the list!

    The Terrible Witch

    Chef Excellent Master Time!

As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
  13. Ah I'm so geeked!!!! :D

Two apologies up-front: first, most players complained that there was not enough money at the beginning of the game (super poverty) and then a lot of money nearer the end (wealth!), I could have fixed that by adding in a "free" treasure chest with some money closer to the beginning, but oh well, life isn't always easy!

2nd, a common complaint was that the maps were too big or the encounters too frequent. I don't personally feel like they were overkill, but again, wanted the game to be challenging, especially at the beginning. There are several places where you can warp back to town to heal up and start again (it's SUPPOSED to be a dungeon crawler-esque after)

If you struggle with finding anything in particular, there is an entire item guide on my thread

    (hopefully) ENJOY!!!!!

I did enjoy the game. At least I can survive my way through, not getting strangled to the point where I just feel like quitting! XD

So you enjoy putting people into poverty first? Well, I WILL GET RICH ANYWAY! MWAHARHARHAR!!!

You hoped I would enjoy the game.

Well, just look at the stars. :)

Ah, I couldn't make The Terrible Witch.

Reason: My place was having fireworks: Noisy as heck... D=

As usual, if there are any other questions, feel free to ask!
  15. OMG I LAUGHED SO HARD - "tasty conquest!"

also, its pronounced, Yig-dra-seal (it's Norse), but hey, Brazil is fine too :)
  16. UPDATE: The Terrible Witch Part 6 <-- It's about to end!

I could only make one because this game required some grinding, loads of grinding :/

As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

    Yig-dra-seal.... YIG-DRA-SEAL!

I'll get it right next time XD

    Glad you liked it :)
  17. Whaaaa? No update?

    Arin-nee-chan is sad. :(

EDIT: Maybe you'd like to try your hand at The Last Prince? Since my previous LP'er has decided to quit for whatever reason, I don't have anyone LP'ing it at the moment, and it will give me ideas on my next project.

Sorry, currently having loads of, difficulties...

I am trying hard, really hard... Drawing... D=

I'm just thinking what if I can't find artists, I will be on my own...

Anything, if you want me to, I'm cool.

But don't worry, I'll make it up, tomorrow it's a full throttle, if I can...

Hope I don't get too serious about drawing again...
  19. Ahh, that's alright, too.

Whatever you want to do is whatever you want to do and you shouldn't let people stop you. I just didn't want you getting lazy without a good excuse is all. >_> <_<
  20. UPDATE: Shadows of Odessia <-- Part 2 - THAT'S HOW YOU KILL BANSHEES!

As usual, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I have my game project to run too.

    And music to make.

And also some schoolwork to do.

And also help my parents do chores sometimes.

    And practice drawing...

And finally I have these LPs to do.

And I have to go for tuitions.

So basically I am really busy all day XD
Sorry if I really can't make it... X3
