  1. Ahem,

I stumbled upon these scripts I was like Cool I want to make a pokemon game on Ace. So when I got home from work I downloaded the demo.

The problem was born I got this error here,

So After getting this error I went to crystals website through rigorous research I see someone said that it was a music file that wasn't there on the first map in the event so I changed the file ' Proffessor Oak Intro ' to ' Town1 ' as a test,

I continued to recieve this error.

I would post this on Crystal's website but I have a feeling that it would be disregarded.

    Please Help.
  2. Did you check the debug console for more information?

    Missing Resources, error message.

    Here:

  4. Make a folder that matches the exact path name of the text after No such file or directory.  Copy any of your other music files to that folder and rename it to the missing resource.  See what the debug console says afterwards.
  5. Actually, crystalnoel really likes keeping up with what's wrong with that demo because he really wants it to be the best pokemon game engine it can be

(sans being able to hack one from a rom)

The only thing I can think to ask is did you remember to also download the music and pokemon graphics? If so, I'd go post on the blog page for the demo saying resources are missing (since that's what it looks like the problem is), but if not you might want to try downloading both of those because otherwise you're not actually gonna be able to do much of anything unless you want to replace it all.

edit: Just tested it with everything from the blog downloaded and without everything and I have to say go download the other RARs; that's most definitely the issue. Otherwise, the demo works fairly well... unless you were planning from the start to use your own music and graphics (which since it sounds like you were planning on making a pokemon fan game you should've grabbed them anyway; they're both pretty thorough, or at least as thorough as can be)
