Crowdfunding scripts and resources

Would you be willing to contribute to scripting or art projects?


For example, if someone's planning to make a real-time strategy engine or produce a full set of characters that others can use in their own projects.

For me, it would depend on a lot of details.


I would only consider this if there is a good chance that the work would be completed in addition to an interest in the specific project content. So basically the scripter and/or artist working on it needs to have himself/herself proven to be able to do the work, for example by having products in the shop or a number of scripts already finished.


After that condition, it would have to be something that I can use for something I planned to work on - and an RTS would definately NOT be something I'll use, I prefer turn-based.

Hm it depends. Like if I do that much resources I rather use it for my own game or sell it to the store if I'm making sense? Making games are already a tough deal for me as a working person. But if this was 17 years old Nessiah, I'd be down for it.

It looks like you've actually tried running a kickstarter for mini-games. How did that go? Looks like a cool idea.

Have not yet tried... I was seriously contemplating it (still am tbh) but I wasn't sure if the project would be able to gain enough funding to make it a reality. And really, is it worth all the effort that would be required to be let down?

Its still something I am working on though. I decided to leave the kickstarter till sometime next year to give me more time to build the project and get some kind of functioning system. - I figure that the project is much more likely to succeed when there is substantial information/footage detailing it properly.

Probably gonna be doing that sometime around Feb.  :)

What kind of project where you hoping to kickstart? A similar mini-game styled resource pack?

Dungeon tools, grid battle system, some mini-game engines, among other things that are rather large in nature and take more than a few hours to complete and can be used in multiple projects for multiple purposes.

Seems everybody has their own big project here.

Anyway, I would like to contribute to the scripting project if possible than the arts / other materials. Scripting / program project is a tool to help everyone. And the output is depends on the user creativity. While resource pack can be had by anyone who pay. I would like to commision the resource (or make it myself) to make it instead of purchasing resource pack.
