  1. So, I was going to get the Time Fantasy pack that is on the Rpg Maker web store, but from what I understand, I couldn't use the graphics in another engine later if I wanted to, which could very well happen.

So, I see on Itch.io there is the 80+ Rpg Characters + Fantasy RPG Tileset and others.

Is the Time Fantasy pack that RPG maker web sells just a bundled version of the 80+ characters and the Fantasy RPG Tileset, or do you get extra stuff with one or the other?
  2. Give us links to the packs you're writing about and we can check.
  3. Upon reading the description on the RM web one, it also contains Characters+Tilesets

Yeah, I was just trying to make sure as I couldn't find a pack on Itch.io that had them both. Seems they're only available as separate packs on there.
  5. The base Time Fantasy pack on itch.io is separated into characters and tiles. The RPG Maker version includes the content from both of those packs, as well as some extra content exclusive to RPG Maker.

One of the reasons that it's split like this is because the version on the RPG Maker store is greatly discounted to account for the RPGMaker-only limitation. If you're only going to be using RPG Maker, then the RPG Maker version is the more efficient choice. If you're going to be using them outside of RPG Maker, then the best option would be get a bundle from itch.io.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks!
  6. If you have any plans of the possibility of using them outside of RPG Maker MV then get the itch.io ones so you don't have to double back and buy the same pack twice like I have. Even though I am not currently using them outside of RPG Maker... I want that option if I switch to another engine later on.
  7. You can also buy them on Steam as MV DLC. I'm not sure, but as far as I've read from the ones I've purchased on Steam -- those come with the 'any' engine license. I could be very wrong, but the EULA that came with Farm & Fort looked like the generic agreement that doesnt bind users to RPGMaker MV.

But the safest route is of course the Itch.io packs. Just wait for a bundle discount -- I think $70 for everything.
Also... If you don't want to buy all the packs in one go. Aside from the stated Lich Crusades and Mythic Creature packs, you actually will get access to Farm & Fort and Ship on his Patreon -- I'm pretty sure there are other accessible so I recommend getting the Base Pack, then subscribe (for $5) and then grab everything to double check what's still missing. Hehehe :)
  8. @HintonR you must have misread somewhere, because that DLC comes from Degica like the ones here on the webshop, and those are almost always RM-only (and it was stated above that these are not some of the few exceptions)
  9. Yeah... I just re-read the EULA... After VX and MV it stated that its usable for other RPGmaker engines as long as I had those licences as well. So Steam Bought Assets are also limited to the RMMV/Degica engines.
