Confused about Closet resources

I am very confused about Closet's terms of use for the resources he has on the website: http://eurs.blog65.fc2.com/blog-category-0.html It says that the resources on that page can't be used for VX Ace, because of what it says on this link: http://tkool.jp/support/guideline.html But according to those guidelines, correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like all RPG Maker XP, VX and VX Ace resources can all be used together so long as you own all 3 of those makers. Am I wrong in this? Can anyone help clarify? I just find it strange that VX edits can't be used in VX Ace. Am I reading it wrong?

these terms were made in 2008, so that's probably why it don't cover Ace.

Although even Eb! terms allows to use the resources from one maker in another as long you hold liscences for both, i don't see why they would restrict it only to VX.

Terms of use for Enterbrain resources are that you can use resources from any maker you legally own, IN any maker that you legally own. So if you own all of XP, VX and VX Ace, you can use any of those resources in any of those makers.

If you mean this:

Have a Maker VX. Can I use in the game other than the Maker? → NG

I think he is referring to what tkool calls the Maker series, since he uses Maker and Maker VX as meaning two different things. So he's saying if you own RPG Maker VX, you cannot use the resources in anything other than RPG Maker (all flavors).

Right. Very confusing. And I don't see a way to contact him to ask for clarification.

Anyone else want to take a shot at it? Haha.

Although, since these are just frankensprites(aren't they all? Could be wrong.) does he even have legal say over when/where I can use those resources? Considering the basis for those resources are belong to Enterbrain? So if I own licenses for all three, shouldn't I be allowed to use them where I want?

If I could find a way to contact him maybe we could get clarification.

If they are "just frankensprites" of the RTP, even he is breaking the EULA by distributing them. You'll have to wait for some feedback from the Degica guys on this one - anything anyone else says (including me) is probably little more than speculation.
