Compress .m4a files?

There's software to compress .png files for RPG Maker, but what about compressing .m4a audio files? What software can I use to do that?

VLC Media Player or Handbrake.
I prefer Handbrake, though, personally. It'll do... Well... Anything... lol...

What do you mean compress?

Probably tweaking around with settings for various MPEG 4 Audio algorithms until you find a balance between audio quality and file size that you like.

Adding onto my initial two, Audacity's great.
You should, truly, use Audacity.
Screenshots(two of them) attached, it's the interface, and exporting as an M4A file. You can adjust the quality of the export which, in turn, changes file size. You can find your perfect balance between size and quality there.

This is the perfect free audio editing software. It has all the tools necessary to make anything you want. I've done audio that goes through 8 speakers in a surround sound system to make it sound like a bee is flying around your head.
