So, basically my script request is this. It's a take on the DAY/NIGHT System (nothing in between, I realize this detracts a little from the realism, but a lot of games simply have DAY/NIGHT and for my purpose the more times of day there are the more complicated the request gets).
Simply put, I would like a DAY/NIGHT System that affects player stats and uses Mapping Overlays instead of tints, possibly changes maps, opens/closes shops, ect. If this can be done through Common Events, that's cool too.
In the game there are 2 omnipotent beings responsible for Gaia. The Sun God and the Moon Goddess. The Sun God governs "strength" and the Moon Goddess governs "wisdom", so I would like to have some way to increase Physical Power during the day (while lowering Magical Power) and increase Magical Power (while lowering Physical Power) at night.
That said, I would like it to utilize Overlay Mapping (for the lights/sunbeams overlays I am using) as well as some way to affect a switch or variable that makes different shops open and others closed (I would like something like a Black Market to appear on the world map at night or making skeletons/bats appear as enemies versus goblins/slimes).
The actual percentages would be:
DAY [+25% Physical Power, -25% Magical Power]
NIGHT [-25% Physical Power, +25% Magical Power]
As a side request to the same script, I don't know if it would be possible, but I would also like to be able to minimize the effect that DAY/NIGHT has on the characters through items and equipment.
Lets say Nathanael (the main character) is fighting baddies at night. He is low on MP, and his Physical Power has been cut by 25%. He can use "Sun Vial" to decrease the effect on his Physical Power by say 15% making his Physical Power reduction only 10%, but he can't use the "Moon Vial" to increase his Magical Power during the NIGHT by the same 15%.
On the same hand, he could equip the "Moon Medallion" during the DAY causing his Physical Power drop by 10% but increase his Magical Power by 15%, offsetting the effect fighting during the DAY has to his Magical Power. Reverse the effect with the "Sun Medallion" to make Magical Power go down 10% at NIGHT and Physical Power go up by 15%.
I know this is really complicated, but it is one of the key features I'm planning for the game. This one would not be commercial, however the sequel I plan if the public opinion of the game is good, would be commercial. At which point I would be open to discuss compensation for the script (and any non-commercial script I may be using) at that time.
I will reiterate though, if this can be done through Common Events, Variables, Switches, ect, I would prefer to do it that way if possible due to possible conflicts with Yanfly Engine Ace. I've heard DAY/NIGHT systems tend not to conflict with Yanfly's scripts, but if conflict is expected I can provide which scripts I am using.
