    (Last Update: August 16th, 2024)

Threads posted in the Commercial Games boards will enter a moderation queue and will not appear until it is accepted by a moderator. Threads will be accepted or denied based on how well they meet the rules and guidelines. Give at least 72 hours before inquiring about the state of your thread. Address all concerns with a moderator.

When posting in the Commercial Games boards, you are expected to read, understand, and meet the minimum requirements.

    Remember
    • All general rules apply.
    • We will only accept foreign games which have been translated into English. You may provide other languages so long as one of them is English.
    • Projects which contain elements of religion, politics, and/or sex are allowed, but must be disclaimed in your thread. Community conduct standards still apply. This means we will not approve any R18+ projects. This means your project should still hit somewhere around the PG-13 level. We reserve the right to deny a project based on these standards even if you do not believe your project has exceeded them.
    What is this board for?

The Commercial Games board is for games which are finished and for sale. Your game may still receive patches and updates, but it is now past the main development phase and fully deployed.
Requirements to Open a New Thread
    • Synopsis: Approximately 350 words are required. This synopsis should give an idea of what to expect from the game. This should contain gameplay features and story elements.
    • Screenshots: You should be able to post at least 2-5 screenshots. Consider what is illustrative of each one and what they inform. This is your completed game for sale. Show it off.
    • The Game’s Buy Page: Your game needs to be easily downloadable with proper credits and the price clearly displayed. If your credits are not directly in the thread, note where they can be found.
    • You must include what engine you created the game in.

    AI Usage In Commercial Games
    • You may submit game projects that use AI to the forums, but you must disclose in your opening post what AI elements have been utilized. Failure to do so will result in your game thread being removed and warnings applied to your account.
    • As a reminder, debating AI usage is presently on moratorium. If you don't like the fact that a game uses AI, please scroll on to the next project. If you suspect a game thread has been untruthful in its disclosures, please submit a detailed report via the forum report function.
    Optional but Recommended
    • Tags: These help describe your game with short terms and phrases and also make your game easier to find. These can be genres, gameplay mechanics, story flavors, etc.
    • Additional Appeal. More information about your game and its development (character bios, setting, promotional arts, gameplay videos, a trailer, etc.) will help generate interest. Going beyond the minimum requirements may result in the feedback and you are seeking.
