A wardrobe scene, to change your actors clothes. - Suggested by Nio Kasgami.
This script idea won the vote by 5 (yes FIVE) whole votes.

So, for this challenge, you must write a script that creates a scene that when entered, you can change your actors clothing. The chosen outfit (selected within the scene) should be visible upon your actors character sprite after leaving the scene.
As long as your script retains this feature you can submit it.

Question - What about images? Do we have to make our own? Do we need to use sprite-sheets only? Are there alternative resources available?
Answer - You are able to use spritesheets or the images from the character generator.
The Infamous Bon Bon was gracious enough to provide a link to sprite-sheets that where made from the generator parts. You should extend your thanks if you use them. HERE IS THE LINK
  2. Wow five vote? My idea is pretty apreciate!

i already begin the script when i see the topic!
  3. I feel like a bit of a killjoy by saying this, but the challenge definition is still problematic. Changing the actor's clothes is only half dependent on a script, at best; the rest is dependent on the contestant's skill in graphics editing software, and cutting out all the different character sheet clothes, faces etc. I'm not saying this because it's a problem to me - I'm perfectly capable of it - but it's an added requirement that will cause a huge disparity between what will be submitted.
  4. I agree.

However, as the script has been chosen - thats that.

Personally, I am garbage with graphical things, so my entry will most likely be highly basic - simple changing of sprites. But to be fair, that will be mostly due to my Indie Game Entry eating most of my time.

You never know though... Someone could think so far out of the box that we are all astounded ^_^

    Edit:

As was previously pointed out (in the old thread) you could export the assets from the character generator and use those ^-^

Those are only faces, and one set of clothes. Not much for a wardrobe ;)
  6. Lol yea thats true. However... If there was a script, people would begin making the graphics...

    As they say....

"Build it and they will come" :D

What? Character Generator has heaps of sprites and clothes.

  9. Hmm, my interpretation of this challenge is definitely waaay different than anything needing CharGen cutouts/exports.

Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily! It'll be interesting to see how the different interpretations play out.

Wow, I managed to overlook a whole row of options... Well then, I stand corrected! The challenge is still exporting all of this and cutting it out, though. Unless all of the elements are available somewhere, or somehow?

Maybe someone will be so kind as to export them and supply them in some kind of downloadable file ^_^

    Actually... Would that be allowed?
  12. The assets are all un-compressed on your hard drive; mine are at C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterbrain\RPGVXAce\Generator
  13. Wow 22nd June, quite long... mkay, let's do this :D
  14. Yea, I gave 3 weeks rather than 2 cause of this being the first event (to allow more people to enter) and because of the IGMC that running this month.

It's not there if you've gotten Ace through steam. I found it here, however: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RPGVXAce.

I'm going to focus my attention on the IGMC, but if I have the time, I'll definitely want to make this script. I kind of want to make this script for my contest game, but I think that might be a bit of a stretch time-wise...
  16. Yea, I am also focusing on the IGMC. Realistically though, being my event, I HAVE to participate ^_^

My entry (for this) will probably be very basic - due to having little free time to spare.
  17. I can provide the graphics in character sheet format if that would help everyone focus on the scripting.  I did it previously for a different script.

Graphics include all the generator parts with clothing only being in one skin tone (the default).

Sure it can be help! it remove the factor we have to do all the ressource~
  19. Pretty sure that would be fine by usage terms ^_^

You sir, are a GOD !!
