Closing main menu causes added fog layer to appear twice

I'm having an issue with Orange Overlay where closing the main menu causes the fog layer added by the plugin command "Overlay addfog fog9 1 180 0.4 0" to appear twice. I am wondering if there is something else I need to do perhaps to prevent this, like adding some sort of suspend or cancel command when the menu is opened, but I have no idea how to do that or what might be causing the issue. The event is running as a parallel event and I tried using an autorun event but the same thing still happens.

Edit: Its doing it on a new project with no other plugins than orange overlay. I'll post this in the bugs thread I guess.
