1. Introduction
Kitsune woke up and slowly stretched her back. She didn’t get enough sleep last night due the rather noisy owls.
Her room was a total mess and shows that she didn’t much stay there outside of sleeping and then there was also this Okami guy, Kitsune’s best friend sleeping next of her in a same bed.
They were both girls but Kitsune simply hadn’t room for another bed and they lived together.
A huge crash could be heard and Okami also wakes up due it. She says “Morning” to Kitsune before proceeding to sleep some more. Seems that Okami wasn’t got that much sleep either.
Kitsune noticed that Okami still wore same old red clothes she has had probably for a few years and comfortable blue pants. Her red clan collar’s metal spikes shined in a sun light that came in via the nearby window and did hurt Kitsune’s eyes.
She gets dressed to her fox suit quickly as she could as her real fox tail was hard to put in and rushed outside to check out what caused that sudden loud noise.
Turns out that it was just a tree that had fell from its roots. After all the house is in edge of the world famous swamp where the monsters dwell.
She gulped and felt her clan collar that looks like one that is meant for dogs and that was unfortunate. Still she proudly presented her clan.
Suddenly someone sneaked from the back and touched her left shoulder.
Kitsune freaks out and suddenly punches the sneaker. Turns out that it was Okami and now she had big red spot on her face.
“Ouch!” said Okami and tried to punch back. However she failed miserably as Kitsune effortlessly dodged the punch.
“Don’t sneak on me like that!” shouted Kitsune.
“Oops, I thought you were one of those monsters.” replied Okami back.
Kitsune wasn’t particularly surprised.
“How dumb can you be?” asked Kitsune.
“I’m not dumb!” shouted Okami.
“I’m just a bit slow sometimes.” she admitted.
Kitsune decided not to push matter further as she already knew about Okami’s furious nature when she gets pissed off.
“Well it is still a bit dark so we should rest a few more hours before setting off for our delivery.” Said Kitsune.
“Yeah, I take a nap right here and now.” said Okami.
“Fine, I go back to our house and sleep there.” said Kitsune.
“A house? It is more like a cabin.” stated Okami.
Kitsune was still too tired to listen Okami’s nonsense and just went to sleep. They both slept for several hours until Kitsune suddenly wakes up with realization.
“We’re late!” shouted Kitsune.
She took the packet that she placed on the nearby table yesterday and rushed off to wake up Okami.
“Wake up!” shouted Kitsune.
Okami wakes up and stares Kitsune for a several seconds before finally asking “What?”
“Get up! We’re seriously late!” stated Kitsune.
Package was supposed to be delivered already to one of the wealthy landlords around the area. It seems that their laziness made them miss the deadline and thus package wasn’t going to arrive on time. What the package contains, they don’t really know. Though the package is extremely heavy.
They rush off the deliver it and hope that the landlord still wants to pay for the delivery. After all it is their quest. However once they are about hallway through, the monsters finally decided to show up.
They are called monsters but have ability to speak and are quite good in the game known as Card Royale.
Seems that these monsters want to play a game which made Kitsune and Okami feel more eased as they likely would not need their weapons.
“It seems that almost everyone loves this game nowadays.” said Kitsune.
“Of course, we both have spent thousands of credits just to have basic sets!” bragged Okami.
“Nah, that’s just you.” said Kitsune.
“I focused to make a deck that actually is somewhat effective.” explained Kitsune.
“Silly Kraterian, not even you can beat our self-proclaimed deck master!” said one of the monsters.
“Oh, so you want to challenge me first?” asked Kitsune.
“Of course.” said the monster.
“I’m big bunny known as Carratz and I shall stop you with my Carrot Deck!” said Carratz.
“Remember that you both have 50 HP and whoever reduces other’s HP to zero first wins!” reminded Okami.
“I know.” said Kitsune.
And so the battle begins.
