Character Sprite picture made with?

Ok so i've been using rpg maker for a while i think ive become a pro but in some games like misao mad father and ib they have these character portraits the shows the full character model and the character can change reactions like in mad father what program did they use to do this?

Most of the bust pictures are usually done by GIMP or Photoshop or Paint.net or similiar programs - there aren't any bust generators I know of...


And then they use scripts to switch between different pictures as neccessary...

Yeah, the pictures are drawn by an artist who varies the facial expressions. If you don't know how to draw, you can hire an artist or ask for assistance in the Resource request forum.
