  1. Hello folks.

I got an issue i would love to solve.
Me and my friend bought a license for XP and did a bad thing.
We installed it on both of our computers.

Now we have bought another license, uninstalled the Maker and the RTP installation as well.

Reinstalled XP and RTP files again but there was no way of entering the Product Key again.

How do i remove the old Product Key so i can enter the new one?

Sorry for my bad Swenglish ^_^

    Please help.

    Thanks in advance.
  2. I have no idea why you made this in the Script Support Section.
  3. Moved.
  4. If the program is still working then I don't think you need to bother trying to re-register since you already own separate copies now.  Just keep the key handy incase you buy a new computer or something and need to install it again.
  5. The problem is when i want to take the project to my friends computer and work with his machine it won't allow me to load it.

Thats why i would like to reactivate my copy. I think it's blocked somehow due to that we used the same Product Key and that seems not to work at all.
  6. That would have nothing to do with not allowing you to load it on your friend's computer.  It is more likely that you both have a different version of the engine and at some point the .rxproj file layout changed.  I recall this happened to Amanda and I at some point when we were making the Aveyond games and downloaded a newer version of RMXP.

Put it on your friend's computer, then have him take the .rxproj from a NEW project (created on his computer) and copy it over the one you've just put there.  If it works, you will either have to download the newer version yourself and reinstall then do the same with any of your .rxproj files, or when you swap the game from one computer to another you'll each have to overwrite that file with the one that belongs to your version of the engine.

How long ago did you buy the original, and where from?
  7. Oh, i see.

I will try that and come back later with the results.
But. it will be for tomorrow to try it out, the time over here is: 03:37 in the middle of the night. :p

Or maybe we should take my downloaded setup-files and reinstall his RPG Maker XP with the same files i installed from.
That might solve that problem. Well, tomorrow it is.

I did buy my licence tonight from the webpage. (rpgmakerweb.com).

    Good night!
