  1. Hello,

I am alpha testing a game for someone and I can't seem to open it. I get this message:

    Untitled_zps44bb214c.jpg

I ran the game as an administrator on my computer AND I have all of the RTPs.

    Help! D:
  2. How did that someone else create and distribute the game?

From the look of it you're having problems with installing that game, before you can even try to play it, is that correct?

In that case I would say that either your download was broken or the upload to the web was incomplete.
  3. They had me download it through Dropbox, I believe.

    Right, it won't even open.

I tried it last night with someone else's game (a different someone else) and the same thing happened.
  4. I never had this problem before, but what Windows system do you have? Do you have XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10?  It could be a compatibility error. If that is the case right click on the RPG Maker you are using and go to compatibility mode and chose one of the Windows mode to run the program in. That might help
  5. I am running Windows Vista.

    I'll try that now.

    Nope, still getting the error.
  6. Where are the files located? My Documents, Downloads, Program Files? Where?
  7. They were in Downloads and I moved them just to my desktop.
  8. what was placed in the dropbox? A single installation file (blue 3D-cubus/hexagon as a symbol) or a directory with several folders (in that case, the exe's symbol would be a dragon's head)
  9. The first. The blue symbol.
  10. I figured this issue out and it can be closed. Thanks to everyone who helped. :)
  11. What was the issue?

Please tell us what was the reason so this doesn't become yet another "I got solution" thread without an answer.
    I'm kind of curious.

    Oh, sorry!

Even though I allowed the program through my firewall, it was still blocked. I right clicked on it and went to properties. At the bottom, I clicked "unblock."
