Can't get MV trial working.

I downloaded the RPG Maker MV trial a couple hours ago, and just now decided to try it out. I opened the app, clicked "Continue", and was instantly greeted by this: I let it sit for a couple minutes as I went to grab a glass of water and a snack. I came back, and the screen remained the same. Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

whitescreen is what happens if your display drivers OpenGL Library is too old.
In most cases it should be sufficient to update your display driver to its newest version (by downloading it from the manufacturer, NOT by windows and Microsoft drivers).

If your display card is too old to have an updated driver with a newer OpenGL library you can also install the library without updating the display driver, but that is a bit more complex (you need to search the internet for the general use OGL library)
