  1. Been trying for a little over 3 hours trying to make my bridges accessable by my characters been  searching google youtube and the forums at various places on how to make a bridge accessable by all characters when i click test play my character gets stuck at the beginning of the bridge honestly i didnt think it would be this complicated ive tried adding various events but obviously im doing something wrong could someone please help me..This is sort of embarassing

Note*Im using Rpg maker vx ace

*Im using the basic wooden bridge that comes with rpg maker vx ace
  2. Are you using events or the regular tiles? If it's the tiles you need to make sure they're passable(By making sure they say "O" instead of "X"). If it's a event make sure the event is set Below Player.

Edit: Did you change the passability?
  3. Im using the regular tiles that came with the program , originally when i first encountered this problem i thought i had to create a event to make it accessable but clearly this is not the case maybe  i found it under world.b(tiles)
  4. do you want to simply move on a bridge over water? or are you trying to have a two-level bridge where you can go over from one side and under from another?

If you want to make a bridge that you can go over and under, then that's NOT trivial, you'll either need some tricky eventing or a script.

If you want to make a bridge to go over water, that should be simple if you use the correct tiles - can you tell us what tile you try to use and how your map looks like (pictures please)?
  5. First id like just to have a basic bridge over water that you can access from both sides heres a screenshot

  6. If you haven't messed with anything it should be letting you pass. Are you able to walk anywhere else?
  7. Yes it lets me walk anywhere except for the bridge lol ):

    Edit*

are the tiles im using even bridge tiles? :o

I did input the script that came with my high fantasy resource bundle pack II under Materials  called large sprite script could this script possibly be keeping me from being able to access the bridge?
  8. Okay I see the problem is. By default the World Map passability for the bridges are blocked. Go to the database (F9) and go to the Tileset tab. Go to the World Map and go to the B tab at the bottom of the page. The bridge will have an "X" over it. Click it until it has an "O". Make sure to click okay when you're done and you should be able to pass the bridge.
  9. Alright ive followed your step's but there arent any options to make it passable or unpassable i posted a pic below to show you what it looks like maybe im in the wrong area.

There arent any X's or O's to click or unclick strange very strange..Is this because i activated my Rpg maker vx ace when i was in a trial and its still reading as in a trial stage? or am i going to far out of thinking lol

  10. Sorry I think I worded it wrong. Go to the Field Tileset (The first one). See the A, B, C, tags at the bottom? Click on B. You should see the pictures, but with X's and O's over them. Click on the bridge until it is a O.
  11. Omg thankyou so much everyone ive wasted 5 hours of my own time and prob an hour or so of others by my own stupidity i just noticed the option at the bottom a and b and c lol should of paid more attention to the options and peoples word's thankyou

    ,bless you all
  12. It's good. Believe me all have our "Dur!" moments when it comes to RPG Maker. It keeps us humble and brings us closer together.

  14. I've moved this thread to VX Ace Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

If you want to know something about the products prior to getting them up and running, Product Discussion and Support is the right place.  But once you're using them and you need help to get something working, it goes into VX Ace Support (or RGSSx Script Support if you need help with a script you've added or modified).

This thread is being closed, due to being solved. If for some reason you would like this thread re-opened, please report this post and leave a message why. Thank you.
