  1. I've been needing to do something and it'd help a million if there was a way to turn this text

    [embedded media]

Into something in RPG Maker, I assumed this was possible but I want to know how if so
  2. I think you can theoretically create everything using text files in JSON notation for RPG Maker MV (not Ace), but that's a long way from JSON notation anyway, so the short answer is No.

Copy whatever you want to use from the chat, and Paste it into the appropriate places in RPG Maker's editor.
  3. What do you mean the appropriate places? Im confused if I could turn this text into something in my game because theres a really old RPG maker game thats free to edit and I need it to help understand how to script and do some things
  4. He meant for example to take one line that looks like a skill description and paste it into a skill's description field inside MV editor. In other words do it manually.

Turning this into something usable in MV would be rather tedious from the MV side, because MV uses utf-8 encoded JSON files. And whatever encoding VXAce uses, it's not utf-8 encoded. Also, the file is not even the format MV uses, so MV wouldn't know how to interpret it properly. There might be a way to convert VXAce files to MV, but that would require knowledge of proprietary code, which requires reverse engineering the VXAce program. And that is against the EULA.

EDIT: Why are we @Wavelength talking about MV when it's in vxAce forum? xD

Another edit: Nevermind me, I'm just being stupid.
  5. Agh, making the perfect game is so hard, VXA has no ring menus and I can't use this on MV, I hate MV so much but I have to use it because I need a ring menu
  6. @CaptainVindicus why do you assume that VX Ace has no ring menu? If I remember correctly there were two or three scripts available for VXA that create ring menues, you just have to search for them.
VXA's master script list contains over a thousand different scripts for use with VXA, although some of them might have been taken down over the years since VXA was the main maker.

And why do you hate MV? It can do everything that VXA can do and has a lot of improvements over that.
  7. I don't like the new graphics MV introduces, and it brings some confusing things that come from VXA, I looked around for a VX Ace menu and they are either not very good or not a battle ring menu, im looking for a battle ring menu and the only ones I could find were on youtube videos with no link to them or ring menus for items out of battle. Forgot to say, for XVA I would need a ring menu for battles in specific
  8. Or just learn scripting and make it yourself :p
  9. By the time I learn scripting RPG Maker LXXXXIX will be out
  10. That screenshot actually does look like a database object (or an actor's weapon) has just been printed to the console in Ace. However it's not in a format that you can copy/paste to create a new object. And it looks like it was at least partially built with a custom script, so even if you could get it into your Ace, you would need the script they used, or half of it wouldn't be functional anyway.

It is of no use to you in that format.
  11. I'm actually curious what file is that? Is it from same VXA engine? VX? or XP? or 2k3?

The only one I know is just that VXA/RGSS3 use the same data structure as VX/RGSS2 for animation database. If you throw VX animation.rvdata to VXA folder and rename it as animation.rvdata2, it will work. Other than that, it may not work.
Also I found omae wa mou shindeiru
  12. I just found out that MOG hunter allows a ring menu for battle.
    Just tested it.
    MOG - Battle Command EX
  13. A ring menu for XVA?
  14. Yes a ring menu in battle for VXAce.
It's what you're looking for, that's why I popped in to let you know what I found.
  15. Can you send the link to it?
