I have seen multiple examples of bust messaging and party-based face graphics, but I haven't seen any that combine the two or work with facial expressions.
I am looking for a script that allows a bust image to appear based on who is in your party, and for that bust to change facial expressions. I would like this because throughout the game, there isn't a set character that will always be in the same position in the party as you have the option to change the formation.
I am currently using Galv's Message Busts for my busts.
If anyone can help with this, that would be great!

it lets you set busts to corrospend to the faceset and faceset index.. just like the message windows do. Just read the instructions on how to set up the files so they are named correctly. And there's a demo

scroll down to formar's script to see it. It's does just busts and you can set their size if they aren't the standard size, but it doesn't do the face set index as well so you could still do emotions.. but it'd take some more work. -
I am already using Galv's Message Busts. The whole point of this post was looking for one that can display a bust based on the current character in a certain position in the party, and allow them to have facial expressions.
For example: George is in slot 1 and Penny is in slot 2. In an event, the first message says "I'm first!" and is displays the bust of the character in slot 1. But, I need it to be able to know that Penny is now in slot 1, so it will display Penny's bust/emotions in the message "I'm first!" instead.

Try using modern algebras Face Options, those allow for busts and for animations in the busts/faces.

I don't know if you can combine all options for an animated bust or similiar effects, but that might still give you a better solution.
Otherwise you'll need several busts with different emotions per actor and manually select which one should be displayed at any given message. -
I tried multiple times, and it always glitched out. The only time I got it to work was when there was no other writing in the message other than the / commands for the script. Also, there was always a delay in drawing the message box. I really wish it would have worked correctly... :/
