Blur Background On Custom Menu Screen

I have used Yanfly's Main Menu Manager, and Message Core to create a menu screen that shows information, such as renown and city prosperity. I set a common event to the menu command to make a textbox that shows all the information I wanted.

Is there a way for me to blur the background just like the menus when this textbox is open? I can find lots of information for removing the blur, but not adding it. I feel like the textbox would look more like it's an actual part of the menus with the blur.
