Hello while i was trying to switch from my old graphics tileset to my new one and add larger tree's i get this blue/black checkered board overlay for my background i tryed outlineing the whole box with a rectangle and pasteing it into my map but this is what happens i even tried flood fill but that didnt work out to well and it just pasted 1 square covering part of the tree.
Heres what it currently looks like i had to paste each square by hand instead of the whole tree for some reason it only paste 1 square of the of invisableness when trying to pace in rectangle mode option
It's a transparency issue when the graphic was imported.
When you import a graphic, it will ask you to select the colors for transparency. You just need to make sure you selected it correctly. I often pick a really loud color like hot pink and cover the background in it, then click it for my transparency when I import.

Additionally you can fix the transparency in an editor.

No it isn't. You've put your tree onto the A tiles - probably the one you've put into the A5 slot. A tiles are ground, and will replace anything else you have on the ground. Things that have transparency need to go on the B-E tiles.
The blue/black is simply the editor. The colour/pattern doesn't matter. You DON'T want to edit your tiles and make anything a different colour - that'd just introduce a completely new problem and you'd have to go and undo it.
A bit of time looking at the help file under Resources > Tilesets, or doing a bit of a search on creating tilesets would give you a bit more info on what goes where. You can't just put any image on any tile.
