Today is the start of a new school year. Although it is the last year, he feels down in the dumps. Walking over to his computer starting up he stubs his toe on his bed frame.
"Damn it! I'm going to kill this bed frame." He shouts.
He sits down waiting for his computer to boot, looking at his calender he notices that he has a date with Mindy today. As nerdy and as he was, he had finally gotten a date. Exciting as that was, he still felt like a piece of . He didn't know why though, he slept good, and he was happy for the date, and his last school year. He shrugged it off and logged into his computer and checked his Facebook account. He received two messages, One from his Step Brother and one from Mindy.
-Hey Billy! How are you this morning? I'm looking forward to our date this afternoon, don't forget to pick me up at 7!- Why didn't she text him, he thought. Oh well, he will just text his reply on the way to school.
-Yo bro, start of a new year isn't it? I'll see you later man.- The hell Jack? You know I look at my phone more then Facebook, he thinks, shaking his head.
After texting Mindy he calls Jack.
"Yo." He says.
"Hey Jack, you picking me up or should I pick you up?"
"Nah I got you today, by the way, today is your first date with Mindy isn't it?"
"Yes, I'm going to go to Pandora today and check if I can get her something decent, but not too flashy."
"Pandora? Really? I suppose that's okay for something not too flashy. She like necklaces man, just so you know."
"Thanks man, I'll see you soon, later."
Billy grabs a bottle from ice box and throws a sausage biscuit in the microwave. He takes out his notepad and starts to sketch Mindy's face. He always admired her from afar, but for some reason randomly managed the guts to ask her out. He laughs a little out loud thinking of his stupidity, why was he so shy? After asking her out he found out that she wanted him to ask her out for a year, a freaking year! No, what was more impressive, he thought, that she waited for him. He will be her first boyfriend, but on the flip side, she would be his first girlfriend as well. He had every right to be extremely electrified. He wondered why he felt so ty today. Hearing the microwave beeping he turned and got his breakfast and walked out the door, and right as he opened the door Jack had just pulled up. Ha, perfect timing brother, Billy thought. Locking his door Jack shouted "Hurry up fool!" He gives him a scowl and walks toward the car, Jack opens the passenger door. When he gets in the car he notices Jack is listening to Cool Kids by Echosmith.
"I know this is a good song man, but damn dude you have it on every time I enter this damn metal box." Billy says.
"Pft, shut up. You know it would be a weird drive if I didn't have this playing when you got in. It is kind of like our... motto I guess." Jack explains.
"Ah, whatever man, let's go."
Jack drives off and Billy starts texting Mindy. The drive goes fast and he is at school before he knows it.
"I'll see you in second period Jack. Good luck." Billy says rolling his eyes at Jack.
"Yeah, you too bro. HA!"
First period turned out to be fun, the teacher was hot. Long black hair, curvy body, and the pretty smile capped it off. He did notice that there was girl in the classroom he thought he recognized but he just couldn't seem to remember. Billy thought his second period teacher was a complete rear end in a top hat, the math teacher of all things. It just had to be his favorite subject he hated the teacher already. Bald headed bastard, he thought. After that the day seemed to go well, and fast. No homework, and a date he had to look forward to. Billy starts to think he should bring Jack along for the Pandora ride, yeah, he decides, he will. After the last bell rung you went to Jacks car to wait for him. Jack walks up smiling and waving.
"Yo, dude, guess what? I got a date tomorrow! Hell yeah man, she's god damn hot too." Jack says excitedly, though it was almost a yell.
"Damn dude, that was fast. Good job, Haha. Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go to Pandora with me?" Billy asks.
"Sure, I got nothing else to do, Though we do need to check on our guild in World of Warcraft, someone texted me someone was starting ."
"Ah okay, well it shouldn't take too long."
They both get in the car and a song that was quite depressing was on, normally Billy likes these kind of songs, but for some reason he had to change it. Jack looks at him like he was an idiot and then shrugged. They found Pandora without any problems, they walk into the store.
"Good afternoon! Welcome to Pandora, may I help you?" The Clerk asks.
"Ah, yes actually. I'm looking for a necklace for my girlfriend. Well we are going on our first date tonight and I thought I would get her something nice, but not too flashy." Billy explains.
"Hmmm, yes come this way," the Clerk walks a few feet and pulls out a necklace, "How about this?"
"Oh that's perfect, it's even purple, her favorite color. Awesome, I would like to buy it, how much?"
"It will be fifty dollars young man."
"Okay."
Billy pulls out his wallet and he turns around after hearing Jack say,
"Hey Billy, Check this necklace out. It looks weird doesn't it?"
He looks at it closely, and he was right, it was weird. It has a silver chain, or something he thought was a chain. It didn't seem to have a clip on it. What was more intriguing was the crystal it had on it. It was as long as a index finger but was in parts. Each part was the size of a dime and there were about 9 of them. It was very pretty.
"Yeah man, that is a weird necklace, but it's pretty." Billy says turning to the clerk to pay. Instead Billy turns back quickly after hearing a shatter on the ground. He looks down the necklace on the ground but it wasn't actually broken. Billy looks up at Jack and he is wide eyed, and sweating.
"What's wrong Jack?" You ask.
He doesn't answer.
"JACK! Wha... What the hell?"
He disappeared before Billy's eyes and he freezes. He starts to sweat himself and starts to shake uncontrollably.
