Big Monster Sprite Changing

  1. Ok, so I started using RPG maker yesterday so I'm new to it. I was making a boss for a dungeon using the action button to start the event that involved text boxes then a battle. I had the graphic for this event set as the Lamia sprite (since the boss is the lamia) and it shows up perfectly...untill the event starts at which point the sprite transforms into the griffin sprite. I don't know why this is happening nor what could be causing it but I tried to look up how to fix it and found nothing. At first i though this was an isolated incident untill the sprite for the dragon changed into the demon sprite. It only happens with the big monster sprites, anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it? Any help is apreciated, thanks!
  2. The default "BigMonster" sprite sheet has 4 different monsters, all facing forward. They are arranged with each different monster equaling what would be, on a normal sprite sheet, the same character facing down, up, left and right. Just check "Direction Fix" near the bottom-left of the event page  so it doesn't try to turn depending on how it moves and that will stop it from changing. Someone made a 4-direction spritesheet for them, but it is not part of the default RTP. I'll try to find it.

  4. I'm sorry, I can't seem to find the 4-way sprites for them. I KNOW I saw them a few days ago though so they have to be somewhere around here! It complicates the search that I am on here and the VX Ace forums and I don't recall which one I saw them on...
