Battle Symphony Questions [VX Ace]

  1. Hi there!

I'm currently attempting to work with Battle Symphony, and I don't mind doing a bit of legwork to solve my problems, but I've got something on hand that I'm just not managing to wrap my head around.

My biggest problem is this. I've been looking for a way to upsize my battlers beyond Holder's 96x96 frames. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any rules of thumb on which to base the new spritesheets that will ensure that they actually work.

I can offer screenshots later (on another computer) to help demonstrate my point but let's simplify it to the following question:

How can I produce animated battlers of a non-standard size utilizing Battle Symphony?

    -------------------

The next question I have to ask is maybe a little bit more complicated.

I have multiple "primary" characters that the player character becomes after selecting one. So, originally I used an initial "PC" actor that changes class and image upon confirmation.

This requires I be able to change the battler set for the primary character, which (if using Holder's add-on for Battle Symphony) isn't possible as far as I can tell - the notetags are actor set, not class set.

Do I need to use multiple Actor PCs, or is there a way I can dynamically change the battler sheet for an actor based on class?

    ------------------

Now, as I said, I'm happy to do the legwork to figure this thing out, but so far I have come up empty handed. Active help or a pointer in the right direction, anything that could get this moving would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I'm happy to report that I have solved these problems for myself with finesse, intelligence and no small amount of swearing at the screen.
  2. I have some questions myself. I'm using PVGames High fantasy spritesheets for my game, with Battle Symphony 1.16e and holder add-on. How do I utilize the full spritesheets that have weapons already on them, and how do I get it to change which spritesheet it using if the character switches weapons?
  3. For your first question, you can only handle one character per Holder sheet. As for the second, well, I'm not really the one to ask, because I'm still terrible at this stuff, but from what I gather Holder's addon uses notetags attached to actors, so, I'm not sure you're going to have much luck in that regard. It's a problem I'll be looking into in the next few days, so I'll be happy to post a how when I have it up and running.
