  1. omgg this rules thank you for your work!!
  2. Those Big icons were some of the first things I made for the advent calendar, but I decided that I would go with MV/Z icons and MZ resources and nothing else, to keep it as exciting and usable as possible.
Since I now have enough resources for the full advent, I can hand out the Big Icons here (I had kept them in case I needed to fill in gaps)!

While the big icons are double they Ace Icon size, they are also just the Map Grid size for MV/MZ, so I tried to think of places where people could or would use them, and I though they would make great parts of evented cooking systems or evented item menus or evented questlogs... and for all of that, fruits and vegetables seemed something very useful :3
Of course, you could also plaster them on billboards in your town to advertise for the local grocery store for example^^

I thought that another place where Big Icons could be used was a more puzzle heavy type of game, so I made sure to get some notes that one could make - or collect with the matching tools for writing. Maybe you can take notes with the pen, and with some pencil smudge you can reveal what someone else had written on that paper before?
Then a bag, which was my idea not only for stuff to find, but also as an stand in in such a setting. It could be used for many things and then be the "Bag of Potatoes", "Bag with Lunch", "Bag with corpse parts"... well, depends on your game I guess. And then a wand, because, well... is "I saw I could quickly make it and maybe someone has a use for it" a good reason?
  4. No worried for the MV/Z users, I just save those icons for advent. But this set of stuff is actually not new, it is things that I missed when collecting all the icons when I remade the thread and updated all the set.
We have two snippets from Restaffs, the Big Icons and the guns that match hiddeone's SV weapons, and a batch of icons I made to fulfill requests here. I will add them to the sets in the start post later, I have some more Big Icons to release in the next days and then I'll do all at once :3
Just wanted to make sure those don't get forgotten^^

  5. I can't believe I'd never download any of these until this week. Your icons are probably your best work on this site. I especially like the butterfly, raspberry, autumn leaf, and soft pretzels (salted and unsalted haha)
  6. Thank you, I am glad you like them :3

Icons are probably my favourite resource, and I love how much icons and the related possibilities can add to a game.

Which options do these icons add? Well, while I had a coin icon already and a dollar note, I felt like a more generic "money" icon was needed, in case someone wants to use these to design an elaborate main menu for example. And then a vapiric antidiot and something that is either to heal poisoning or to afflict it, who knows. And then a tentacle, for your fun cooking games or for looting from ancient gods that woke up to encounter your party, whatever floats your boat!
  7. Whenever I think I have added all of my released icons to the sets here (and believe me, I searched my hard drives for hours in doing so), I find the next content that was part of a restaff, but that is not in the "complete" sets yet^^'
    ScarestaffIconsAvery.png
Last year, I added a bunch if icons that with slight variations match my two MV/Z styles and that totally fit today's event!

    BigIconsFoodyAvery.png
And to round it up, here are my last big icons that I swapped out in the advent calendar. I don't have that much to say about them, just that I LOVE that cookie icon. It is a manual upscale of my little cookie that I already like, but those chocolate chunks turned out just exactly how I wanted them to look like!

Also, since advent is coming and I'll add on my original MVZ set there, here is the reminder to keep an eye on my MZ thread when the calendar is ongoing and that you can leave me wishes about content you'd love to see in there!

(Also, now that all the additional new icons are released, I'll update the sheets in the start post later this day)
  8. Hello, Avery. I'm working on a project, but lost contact with my artist. I know its a longshot, but would you be willing to look at his work and see if you could fill in the remaining Icons I needed? I usually don't use forums, prefer talking over discord or something like that. I know I'm asking a lot, I just wanted to know if this is the kind of thing you would be willing to atleast look over.
  9. I am not open for work at the moment and the request pretty much confuses me what you actually need.
What style are we even talking, depending what it is there might even be existing icons somewhere out there that could help fill in your blanks? And what amount? It makes a huge difference if you lack one or one hundred icons...
Depending on what it is, a clear and detailled resource request in the according board might be your best shot.

Yes, it's about 50 icons that need to be made in the DokuCraft style. More or less than half of the icons have already been finished, I just thought it would be worth asking. For the most part, I can use the Yanfly resource, but I still have an issue where I need a full set of icons for Light Shields, Mage Shields, Light Helmets and Mage Helmets. I'm trying to get the artists in the Dokucraft discord to negotiate with me on getting these last icons finished. Sadly, I haven't had much luck with that. I have place-holders in the place of the accessories, but they need to be replaced. Those are the ones I might be able to fill in with the Yanfly icons, but not the armour.
Either way, thankyou for getting back to me. If you want to atleast take a look at what I have done, I can send you the mat file to get an idea of what I'm working with.

Edit: Through some miracle, I got in contact with my original artist again. The icons are being worked on again, I'm very sorry for bothering you.
  11. Hello, I am making a new game and would very like to buy most of them and have them in individual files. Could it be possible ?

In her original post its plainly stated.... as well as her Rules. Unless you are planning to us them in anything but the intended RPG Maker Version why would you pay for something she has already deemed free? And if you are using them outside of RPG Maker Software; well you are breaking EULA terms set forth by the software creators/distributors themselves.
  13. Here is a small addition for the XP/VX/Ace Icons that I randomly made because I thought someone could use them, but it turned out they did not.
But since they are (in my opinion, talking about my own work, so take that with a grain of salt xD) very useful Icons for an Options screen or Menus, maybe someone out there would be happy about them?

I still need to add in the advent calendar icons at some point to the sheets, but I just wanted to add them to the thread for those who did not follow the calendar:

Wow, now that I added them all here, that is quite some stuff. Looking at all that I have (including the large set), I feel like the department they are lacking the most are random fantasy/medieval equipment items... especially armors and helmets and stuff. Or what do you think?
For all who actually use the MV/Z style, how do you feel about the options the set provides?
  14. Hi Avery!

I love the options the MV/Z set provides, but I think you're right, there's noticeably fewer options for things like armour and clothing than, say, elemental spells.
  15. thx these are useful.
  16. Good morning, Avery! Like many people in the community, I am sure, I use your iconset for my games. And although your MV set is massive and beautiful, I will agree with your observation that it is lacking in the clothing and armor sets. I have been using your Ace icons as a stand in until I could get around to doing some icon work myself, but if you ever felt the desire to create some armor iconsets for MV as you did for Ace I would replace the Ace stand-ins in a heartbeat.
  17. These are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing these with us, Avery!

I want to make sure I'm not breaking any rules. The only RPGMaker engine I own is MV. Am I understanding correctly that while I cannot legally use the MV/MZ II icons because they use assets from Ace, I AM fine to use the first icon set, MV/MZ 32x32 ?

Also, the game I am hoping to use these for is non-commercial and is only going to be distributed to my friends. I'm making my friends characters in the game, so I don't want to put the game out anywhere public so my friends' privacy isn't violated or anything. I also can't imagine that anyone but my friends would actually enjoy playing it. It's important that I respect your terms. Does it still apply that I need to give you (Avery) a copy of the game when it's finished? Or is that just a rule for games that get publicly released?

Sorry if my questions are annoying or seem over-the-top. I just really want to make sure I don't accidentally do something wrong.
  18. If you don't release your game to the public, all these terms are not that important. At least in Germany you can even use rips and stuff, as long as you only share it with a hand full of close people (don't pin me on that, I just vaguely remember discussions about that).

So the Ace upscales and some of the Big Icons need you to own Ace, everything else just needs you to use them in RM programs only. A some of them feature designs and stuff from the default designs and I want to be on the safe side. Also I don't feel comfortable making them here in the RM community and having them being carried out of it.

Also, I have a bunch of additional Items today, some very random Sci-Fi stuff.
    Future_Avery.png
I also consider reopening the requests, just not sure yet. It would kinda help fill the gaps, as then I would make what people really need, but it can also be quite stressfull at times...
  19. The Sci Fi icons look great, Avery. I have been thinking about making a sci Fi game down the road, a short one, so these are a welcome sight.

The jewelry is especially nice, considering it could be used in fantasy too. I am particularly drawn towards the emerald and silver. It reminds me of a jewelry set I own.
  20. Good afternoon Avery!
As a person who uses your Icons, I agree that there seems to be a lack in variety when it comes to armor and helms in the mv/mz style. I personally really like some of the sets from your 24x24 armors and helms. They are very reminiscent of the Dragon Warrior armors with the shell armors and spiky armors and such.

Keep up the fantastic art! We all love it.
