Thanks to everyone who gave feedback and uses this sheet!
And @Sharm is totally right, it is the blurry upscalinung I fear (blurrying pixel art with upscaling is barbaric! *hisses*)
@RodsXP Yes, you may use edits of my work under the same terms as the other icons, if you don't see any contradiction with my terms you can use the icons like that^^

Looking back, I am not actually happy with the element icons, plus the default sheet is pretty small (yeah, was still enough work to replace it, definitly), giving only one icon for every type of element. If there is enough interest I might do something similar for other elements (or even for all default ones?) Since there are more fluids than water I added two recolors as well, hoping they are convenient.

I was looking at my Ace sheet to see what the MV set still lacks and it is a lot. But something I thought most games have at some point is a small tutorial, so here are some key icons to make it prettier:

(o.o) That's IT! I can't stand no more... I'm using your new icons in my game... I'll have to see if there is a scythe in the icons, for my main character, but I am determined to use your new icons.

NOTE: It apparently has everyone type of weapon, but a Scythe, so I will edit an icon. ^_^ Your awesomeness wore me down.

@Caitlin Actually there is a scythe. It's between the blue book and the saber.

Since it was very last minute with birthday resources this year, I aksed myself: what do I wish for regarding my resources?
And the answer was pretty simple: I wish that people turn away from blurry upscales and the boring default icons and go with pretty pixelated ones as mine or sozairosa's ones. And to make them more attractive, I made one icon for every year I've lived now :3

I had first the idea of modern icons, but then turned to the elemental skills and because of the glitter this time they have a darker background for showing off reasons :3
I like ice most especially the frozen human! What are your favourite icons in the set?

My favorite icons are the snowflakes (I'm a winter person) but the 3rd purple one is so cute, and the angel is great too!

What? A Mage's staff, where you can tell the Mage who made it was going for something more ornate, but didn't have the skill to make it

As for which of the new elemental icons is my favorite, I'd have to say either the snowflake or the 4th shadow icon. The snowflake looks very pretty and delicate, and that shadow icon looks like it could be a dark purple rose or a portal to a dark realm.

Just when I think I'm happy with my icon sheet, you make newer better things I have to replace with.
*points at element icons* These new element ones are some of the best i've seen.

I know my sis would love EVERY purple icon (what can I say she's a girl who LOVES her purple) and me, I love the ice elementals!

Hello @Avery , I wanted to say that I love the icons you have made for MV. They are very clean, wonderfully made, and suit a lot of different game styles.
Somes pages ago in this thread, you said that you weren't sure if it is a good idea to work on MV icons and continue with them, because you felt that not a lot of people were using them.
But know that : your icons are some of the best I have seen on the forum, if not the absolute best. And I will use these, according to your terms, and I will try to make the most I can to make a wonderful game to honour the icons you have made.

I may ask in the future for some icons, if you still allow to ask for some. And if need a lot, I may even pay for them, because you deserve to be paid for that much work.

EDIT : I have used and will continue to use your modular icons for swords for MV. It's very good, and allows for a lot of combinations ! Great work on that too !

I've made those beautiful @Avery 's icons into charsets, so you can place them on map to pick up!
To use them property use stepping/direction fix for bouncy effect. And don't forget to credit @Avery !
I hope @Avery will put them into first post for everyone. :kaojoy:

Two more light icons (that set is now finished) and one fire icon to fill the empty spaces of the elemental icons :3
Two gems, because I really like shading shiny stuff. Was in bad mood, and sometimes all I need is to shade something glossy to feel better.
Plant items, to add more possibilities for quests and stuff. And those two seemed to be useful in many ways. (Also, I like to pixelate shrooms).
Then modern basics, discs or save/load icons, also a file as item or menu option. And last but not least the requested items^^
