  1. It's so sad that Avery's decided not to do MV sized icons. ;_;
  2. Oh, she did? That's a shame. :(
  3. (Just visiting)

I gotta say, your icons are really impressive.

I was curious enough, that I've browsed through all the pages and I see you even got some tough customers.

    But that's on a side note... Anyway~

I sincerely wish you the best of luck with your work. (=

    That's all from me.
  4. I have 3 sprite requests for you.
1st: a pile of shining golden sand with some random spots of red and blue.
    2nd: light blue insect wings.
3rd: a green scarab beetle with a sapphire painted on its back.
    they are all 24x.
  5. Well, let's hope for a plugin in MV that allows us to use 24x24 icons.(Hopes prospective scripter is reading this post.)
  6. Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard to script, but I still want 32*32 icons. Someone's gonna do it. I was just hoping it would be Avery.
  7. Hi Avery :D You really do get less and less requests. :( If youre bored, could you please do 2 more icons for me?

The first one is for my 4th and last character. I need a black yukata with red spider lilies on it. In other words, something like this

but with these flowers instead of the ones on the image above

And for the 2nd icon, i need a blue flame thingy that looks like this:

Thats all for now. If you need more info, let me know. :)

Oh and guys, i know you want Avery to make awesome icons for RMMV but im sure you also know that icons take alot of time and effort to do, right? It must have took her several weeks or even several months to do all the icons she did in her first post. Can you imagine how boring and frustrating it would be if she had to redo all those icons just because RMMV uses bigger sized icons? Avery is using her free time to make awesome icons for us for free, so instead of bothering her, we should wait for someone to make a script plugin that will support 24x24 icons. Thats a good idea, right? Or if you guys absolutely want bigger sized icons, you could always ask someone to make a script that zoom 24x24 icons to whatever size MV uses. I made an exemple with one of the icons Avery made for me (I hope you dont mind Avery).

See? Its not that bad. And if RMMV use icons smaller than 48x48 (Liak mentioned 32x32 icons), itll look even less pixelised. If someone could make a script like that, everyone would be happy! :D

Edit: I added your workshop banner to my signature. That way, maybe youll have a few more requests. Keep up the good work! :D
  8. Hahah, months.  That's funny.  This thread was started two years ago.

Actually, resizing to 32x32 is a lot harder than to 48x48, since it's not an integer multiple.
  10. I am not bored.

(I just wondered why there were fewer, nothing else).

And since I don't have that much time just a short post for that.

The terms are and will stay like that, no matter how much I have to do. I sometimes take commission for icons, but I will never shorten the wait time for people here between the requests.

And I am really not bored. I wish I was. (Because if I was, I'd finish God of War on the playstation)
  11. @Sharm: Well, thats even longer than just months.

@Aoi Ninami: That might be true but im sure it would be alot easier to do than redrawing 2yrs worth of icons.

@Avery: Oh! I apologize then. And you never said exactly how long we had to wait before making another request (If you did mention it somewhere, i didnt see it) The last time i made a request was on october 4th. Thats more than a week ago. If i still have to wait before making another request, just let me know. Once again, i apologize for what i said.
  12. I apolgoize if this is a stupid question - but will these work - as is - with MV?
  13. No, the scale of the cels on the spritesheet is different.  At minimum you'll need to rearrange them so that they all sit within a 32x32 space.
  14. Wow, you have amazing talent!  I am both amazed and thankful that you've chosen to post these for free use for private and commercial!
  15. I was playing around with resizes here (from 24p to 32p) and I got some results, but I'll only post them here if Avery permits me to do it.

    I don't claim any credits.

  16. hi there!

recently i bought a graphics program that's specifically made for making tilesets/sprites/pixels & those sorts of things, and i started to get curious, wondering if i could use it to resize the grid that the icons are on.  and... success!

the icons are still 24 by 24, but centered within a 32 by 32 grid.  (it's the entire iconsheet, by the way.)

it took all of about two minutes, actually, and most of that was because i'm still in the process of getting more familiar with the program.   :|

anyway, it needs a little bit of tweaking, though only due to the text being split into the 32 by 32 tiles as well.   >_>

if you'd like, i'd be happy to send it your way once i've fixed the text, if you'd like to post it!  i'd honestly feel kind of weird about posting it myself (even with given permission, of course) since it really took next to no effort.
  17. My statement on the MV stuff:

I am not willing to do a whole replacement RTP - I don't have that much free time atm and I don't see the point, because there are those two gorgeous sets by Ails and Whitecat (okay, Ails nees slight edits) and several other options you can use.
Also I am no fan of upscaling pixel art. I can work somehow, yeah, and it looks better than the RTP MV icons (okay, it is not very hard to do that), but it is nothing I want to encourage, if you know what I mean. I spend so many love and time on all those tiny details and I don't want them to be blurried by upscaling.
The rearraning is a good idea, but here we have another problem. I still do icons and the sheet is expanding and I don't want to keep two sets up to date (it's hard enough to do that with one, you know, I have to insert new rows and rearrange some parts at some points and just updating can be a lot of work).

    What I can:
    a) if there is a programm for easy rearranging into the grid, I would link it in the start post
    B) if you want I can make a set of frames and backgrounds,so you can put the icons on/into them and they won't look that small in MV. Is that an acceptable offer?
    c) if there is a plugin or whatever to use 24*24 icons in MV tell me and I'll also link it in the start post

To the wait between the requests:
    A week or two is normally fine, depends how many someone has. If I got several requests by you yet, just wait a little longer. If someone requests 3 icons a week for a year you have asked for 156 icons aka more than a full day of work^^;

    I hope I forgot nothing >_<
  18. Oki dokie! Ill wait a bit longer then.  :) And i really love the idea of adding backgrounds and frames to your icons to make them look bigger.
  19. First of all, I love your work! I admire your patience and attention to detail, and I'm so glad your willing to share the fruits of your labor with us! THANK YOU!!

Secondly, there IS a browser based SpriteSheet tool by Leshy: here. It more or less does the trick with the right settings and a bit of time and Photoshop... It can take any PNG image and define an underlining grid, identify each image/cell within the grid and add spaces between all of the individual cells... then export the new image. For example, your Iconset would require a "Grid Remap" of 24px by 24px; that creates the standard VX Icon grid and identifies all of the icons within the sheet. Then, you would have to set the "Padding" to 8px which adds spaces between all of the individual cells. PRESTO! You have a 32px by 32px grid... Almost...

TWO DOWNSIDES: In creating the "Padding" between cells, the tool reformats the image (i.e.: rearranges the icons to optimize space and filesize); this "feature" cannot be turned off... Also, the "Padding" does not extend to the outside perimeter of the SpriteSheet and thus an additional 8px must be added to both the x and y axes (in Photoshop) to compensate and the sprites must be re-centered in the new grid (in Photoshop) in order to create a true 32px by 32px grid...

Thankfully, I'm a ninja, and I've been developing a method that works around these downsides... It takes some time, but its entirely doable... the resulting SpriteSheet is a little jumbled (due to the rearranging / optimization of the tool), but that too can be mitigated by converting the original SpriteSheet in sections (the theme groupings on the original), instead of all at once, and combining the respective groups later... Anyways, I hope this helps! Cheers Everyone!!
