  1. Hey so in my game I have a mechanic which switch's a moving event from event page 1 to page 2 if the player presses a button. The problem is that every time it switches from page 1 to page 2, the movement resets. I would like for the event to continue its movement unhindered, is there any way I can do that?
  2. It's working the way it's intended to work. Even if you didn't switch to a new event page, but had a Set Move Route command that alters the movement of the event, it would start from the top again.

What is your event doing when the button is pressed? Might be another approach you could use.
  3. So basically the event is invisible to the player, and is moving and damages the payer if he gets hit by it. When u press the button, it switches to the next page and while the event is still moving and damages the player, the event now becomes visible to the player(aka the 2nd page has an actor image), the event is visible to the player as long as he holds down the button. If he releases the button, the event switches back to the 1st page and becomes invisible to the player again
  4. You might be able to reduce it to a single page with the sprite, then have another event set to parallel process checking for the button press, and if the button is down, set the opacity to 255, and if the button is not down, set it to 0. This would need to be done through a direct script call to change the parameter on the event, not through a Set Move Route command, as that would interfere with the movement. Add a Wait 3 frames or something like that so it's not constantly checking, which can cause lag.
  5. Basically it just moves up and down vertically.
