  1. Hi everyone. I haven't found a section dedicated to RPG Maker VX Ace Lite so I've decided to post here.

I would like to know if using workarounds to get through limitations of this program (ex: an external script editor) is legal.

I searched using the search box but I haven't found anything about that.

Thanks in advance for help you can give me! :)
  2. No, they're not. If you want to use scripts (or have more slots in any of the database tabs, or more maps or more events), you are expected to purchase the full version.
  3. May I comment and add that there are certainly legal ways to work around the limitations that simply involve creativity and good use of available resources, and a previous contest here pointed out.

But Shaz is of course correct that trying to "break" the system is bad form. [=

Part of the reason I comment is that we never did get a good list of the "creative and legal" work-arounds together.

lol just another list I never made.....

    /me dreams.....
  4. Ok, thanks for the answers.

I would like to make a free game and I think that the Lite version is enough for it!

GrandmaDeb, you said that there are creative and legal ways in which I can work around these limitations, could you make an example?
  5. One of the games in the list of unencrypted games was made in Ace Lite.

    Check it out.

  6. Thanks, I'll check it!
  7. I just want to point out Ace has a 30 day free trial, if you can finish in 30 days, go for it.
