Appearing NPC For Custcenes

  1. So I've been rather confused on how to make it, so that an NPC Only appears for a cutscene.

    Example, I completed a mission inside a building, then he appears.

    Trouble I'm having, I walk into the building, he is still visible, for abit, goes invisible, then my player can't move.

    CONFUSED!

    Usually you use switches to activate and deactivate events, but from the sound of it you activate the wrong event pages as "not able to move" in such a situation usually means that you activate an autorun and never deactivate it.

    And to really help we need to see what you've done.

  3. Sounds like you've created an autorun event to make him invisible and are not turning it off. But we'd need to see the event before we can help you.

    Question is, when should he disappear? Straight after you complete the mission? Straight after the cutscene? Not until you leave the map after the cutscene? If there's a point where he should actually disappear, just turn on a switch at that point, and give him a second page conditioned by that switch - don't make ANY other changes to the event page.

    Also depends on where the cutscene exists - if it's on the NPC event itself, that could add extra problems if you want him to disappear but there's more of the cutscene to play.
