Since it seems to be the day to say belated Hellos, I figured I'd add mine.
I've always loved playing story-driven RPGs, starting with Final Fantasy IV on the SNES, and have always been passionate about computers, since I was a kid. So, when I saw a program called RPG Maker, I was quite excited, since I've always wanted to create one, but lack the artistic ability to draw or, say, make music (even though I have a good ear, making music is much trickier than hearing it).
Currently, I've started one game, but will probably trash it (there was no coherent story in it, just a lot of nifty ideas), but plan this time to create an interesting story and build the game around it.
I also love to write stories (well, once a year at the Nanowrimo challenge at least) and also love cats (except when they sit on my computer keyboard), reading (sci-fi and fantasy), and am 42 years old.
Fortunately, I've avoided a mid-life crisis and have no burning desire to buy a Porsche or even buy driving gloves. :)
Apparently it's Belated Hello Day!

Man, so much kudos on you...you're so inspiring, playing games and using RM at 42y old (you will be young forever, guaranteed).
Oh so you love cats? I freakin' love cats too! (I have a male cat who is 5y old)
But please man...add an avatar, I always have troubles to remember people without an avatar here.
Good luck for all your projects and welcome aboard Whitesphere! -
This is indeed the day for hellos!
So, welcome and enjoy your stay here!
I don't know if you felt the same, but I must admit, I found it an odd feeling writing an introduction about myself after being here for so long. -
Have fun!
I'd tell you about the local "chicken-cat" but It'd take up a lot of space! :p -
Greetings whitesphere!
Best of luck in all your game-making efforts. And forget the Porsche! Dump the money instead into an awesome RPG game :D -
Welcome welcome, now I won't feel quite so old. ;)
-
Yeah for cats!
Hmm, I mean, welcome aboard :)
There's definitely a time loop in this forum. -
Hmmmm 42? I once was sure that 36 was the max I would see from an RPG Maker user (that said, until I get older, like, in 20-30 years). But never wondered about the huge world outside. There is you, and GrandmaDeb. People with a lot of... wisdom.
Anyway, welcome? At least your hello was not hugely belated. Unlike others, who use it as a marketing stratagem in order to positionate themselves inside our minds! This is a conspiration, I know. -
Belated welcome reply too. Enjoy your time here Whitesphere.
