Any news on a new IGMC (2018)

Just like what the title says, anyone hear/see any news on a new igmc ?

If they do, they can't announce it until it is official for everyone, else someone would have an unfair advantage.

Wow. I feel like we did IGMC 2017 just a few months ago.

I hope not, it's not far from the holidays and don't have that kind of time or do I?>_>

Last year they hosted it on November so we will have to wait a little bit more time for some infos if they actually hosting it this year

I was wondering the same. It was in Oct of last year and we only have 3 months left before 2018 is gooone.
Would love to challenge myself again.

They didn't have one in 2016, did they? It's a massive amount of work for the judges, and depending on other activities/commitments, they may not have time to judge another one so "soon".

the first was 2014, the second 2015, then 2016 was skipped to have the third in 2017.
and the info for the 2017 one was really short-term even for the moderators - only one or two months before it started if I remember correctly.

We tend to keep the lead time from when we announce it until it starts pretty tight to keep people from starting early.

But I will say that you might want to start brushing off some ideas for a project.

Sounds like IGMC may not be 2018 but it may be early 2019 instead? Maybe February/March to allow for the console MV users to join in? Then again, I could be totally off.

There's no way the console version games would win. You just don't have the same freedom you do on PC.

@TakeHomeTheCup : Unless the console version had either their own category or was the only engine allowed. Anyone remember 2015 when they had winners for each engine that was allowed?
