An Old Train

  1. A friend of mine wants me to help him with his project. It's an interesting one, taking place on a normal train in the real-world 1960's.

The request is for what would be the train itself; the interior of the train and a depiction of it from the outside as the exterior (for boarding). It doesn't need to be huge nor have tons of detail (just the basics), and only the main areas of a train such as passenger rooms and dining hall.

Thank you very much in advance!  :)
  2. ^ Thank you very much for your suggestion. However, although I already mentioned the 1960's, I should have been more clear (I'll edit the original post as this type of thing occurs) on the fact that I'd like a more realistic type of train, one you'd see in the real world during that particular era.

Anyway, that's still really quite cool and I'd like to find a way to utilize the assets for something eventually. Looks fantastic, I've always liked Steampunk themes.
  3. All the train resources I know:

Cait hast some interior stuff, tilesets -> modern -> look through

There is an overworld train sprite.

There is this one, but it doesan't really fit into any rtp.

Fendrakon has some trains, but they were made for RMXP. (but they are awesome and as I know made from scratch, so you could use them without having RMXP)

Cyangmou has a small but still very cool train. (You need to download the whole stuff, it's under misc.)
  4. ^^ Thanks a ton, Avery; Cait's interior train stuff is what was in mind, looks good. Fendrakon's work is great too.

I'm not sure how much (or, admittedly, exactly what, since I'm pretty unfamiliar with trains) we need and what will work for the project in the end, so I'll keep this open for a while despite having some good stuff already. Fendrakon's should cover the exterior pretty well, but I think some more interior stuff like bathrooms (are train bathrooms different looking?! I've never been on a train!) and the cab, ect may be necessary.

Thanks again, guys. Really friendly and helpful community here.
